Guest Designer Lynnette

So yesterday I told you about a nice lady and her grand daughter who would sometimes bring me coffee on those very cold mornings when I stand out in front of the school (read it here)  well the other day I found out she is also a stamper!!  How cool is that?!?

I was given a delightful project in time for Thanksgiving, shown below.

Sharing this wonderful new image from Sherri Baldy today.  Don't we all love coffee?  I must say I am not a huge coffee drinker, but everyday I stand outside of the school and this dear child and her mother have been bringing me coffee and some of the super cold days!  Now how sweet is that???  I was blown away that some nice strangers would think of me standing outside of the school in the mornings.  Must say, I am very much enjoying that hot coffee on those days.

Wishing Everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I am extremely grateful to be here each and everyday, though somedays I complain, lol.  Thanks to brain surgeries, I am still alive and seizure free!

Sharing this adorable animal stamp today from Unity Stamps. I just love their images from artist Tierra Jackson.  She does the most adorable baby (and grown up) animal images.  I just bought a huge lot on Ebay, some of which I already own so they will like be used as prizes in my upcoming celebration (knock on wood), this year it's going to be  HUGE, as I am hitting 10 years!!!

WOO HOO!!!  So if you haven't already marked your calendar, Keep the month of February in mind because it will be prizes galore on Holley's Blog!!  WOO HOO!!

Love one another

Here's a lovely image from Ike's Art that is just perfect for this month's challenge at the Ike's World Challenge, K is for Kindness.  This stamp is "Kindness"  I colored it up using copic markers and added a sweet little sentiment "love one another."

I am also using some lace that I got in Turkieye though not lace I would consider Turkish Lace as it was bought in a scrapbooking type store and not a lace store.  Hope this card makes you feel warm and fuzzy today.  Cheers, Holley

Bwah ha ha!!  This image just cracked me up.  Keeping it real all right.  I got this funny image from KatzelKrafts and the funny saying comes from a different set AAll and Create.  I thought they went together though.  Too hilarious.  I am so thankful to be on a break this week.  Much needed respite from work.

Thanksgiving Card

Here's a great card I made using a kit from SEI for fall time.  I love the colors and papers in this kit.  So perfect for the holiday.  I added a few of my own embellishments, but really the cards will turn out stunning just the way the kit wants you to make them.

I hope you have a great week!  We are all off next  week from school. There's one thing that I am very thankful for!!

Here's a wonderful Fall theme card from an SEI card making set.  As thanksgiving comes around it makes me remember the reasons in which I need to be thankful.  Many times of this year, esp this school year have been challenging, thus I have been hmmm, complaining, when really I need to be grateful.

Sharing this great Unity stamp today.  I really love their animal stamps, I esp seem to be collecting a bunch of elephants and giraffes.  Not sure why I migrate to those.  What are your favorite animal stamps?

shaker card

Here's a sweet shaker card today in the shape of a bicycle.  I thought this could be a sweet spring time card.  I just love the gold banner on top and banner on the bottom, very elegant finish to the card.

I hope everyone is having a great day. As I had mentioned yesterday about the dental mess, I will be taking the day off today to be with a dentist to hopefully fix the tooth!  UGH.

Thank you card

Here's a sweet thank you card using a Unity Girl stamp. I just love these amazing images. It's one of the only companies that I continue to consistently buy red rubber stamps from.  You can't go wrong checking out their awesome creations.  Had a horrible thing happen this weekend I was biting something and had a tooth break (either the tooth chipped or the filling came out).  UGH...

Just what we all want before thanksgiving right?  A trip to the dentist and a big bill?  SIGH

Happy Birthday

Here's a great card using some wonderful papers from Paper Source that I got in a kit at the store.  I made this greeting card today for two church friends who are both celebrating their birthday today.  I thought it would be nice to combine the paper from India with the lace from Turkiye.

I pray they both have a very special day!

Joyful

Here's a wonderful SEI card. I just love the colors and the way their kits match patterned papers together.  I have a real problem doing that on my own.  I don't know if y'all notice that when following my blog, but you rarely see more than a single piece of patterned paper on a card.  I will have to make a real effort to try and match papers next year as a goal.

Here's a hilarious new image from Artist Sandra Caldwell.  This cute image is called Eat Crow!  TOO FUNNY.  I used this stamp to create a Thanksgiving card for that person you know who has a good sense of humor.  Sandra's store is BabycakesDND on Etsy and she will be adding this stamp today!

You are my Favorite

Here's an awesome stamp from Stamping Bella's Oddball line. I just love these stamps. I own most of the girls in this stamp line.  Recently they have made a bunch of new additions to the Oddball line of adorable animals.  Hmmm, maybe I should be adding those to my Christmas list.  I thought this card was perfect for the holiday season.

Zombie Sheep

Here's an adorable stamp that I know YOU NEED for Thanksgiving.  It's from artist Rachel Huddleston (Miss Rach Stamps) and her line of DST (Dead sea toons).  She has some fun images of all different zombie animals.  I love them.  This one is a cute sheep (click here).  She also have a new line of great insect theme stamps (not zombie theme, regular gorgeous images).  She's also uploading some wonderful Christmas theme images.  Check out her store here, her wonderful stamps are on sale for $1 each.  TOTALLY worth it.

Time for a funny card

Ha Ha!  You know I love a little punny humor!  This image and sentiment come from Unity Stamps.  They just had an awesome sale, it may still be happening if you want to run over there and check out their site.  I got a bunch of wonderful sets for like 55% off (or a bit more!)  I couldn't resist.  They have the cutest new owl sitting on the moon.  You will see a card with that stamp soon.

Had to share this card today because we are back in the winter weather here. It's expected to be in the low 30s, which is cold for Texas.  They don't sell real coat here, but I ordered a coat from Canada, because at the school I have to stand outside at 7am in the morning for an hour while the kids arrive at school.  BRRRR!!

Pressed Leaves

Sharing another leaf card today. I just love these pressed leaves and miss my friend who used to give me all these precious treasures from God's earth.  I still have many books of pressed leaves to continue to create cards from.  She will be missed.

Amazing Women

Here's a great card for a friend or dear co-worker, boss, assistant, etc.  It's just perfect for that occasion when you want to make a more general but very heart felt thank you. It comes from one of the amazing SEI card kits and has gorgeous papers and embellishments (though the buttons there are ones that I added from my own collection)

This card was made from an awesome kit by Anna Griffin. I just love her packets and usually add some extra embellishments like buttons and lace to enhance the cards.

I moose you

Here's a darling Unity stamp.  These sweet animal images come from artist Tierra Jackson.  I just love them, I have a whole bunch of her wonderful stamps.  They are just TOO cute including this little moose.  They also come with fun sayings like, "I moose be crazy for you"  how sweet is that?

I also added some great Turkish lace to the card that I got on my last trip.  I am so looking forward to going back there to get some more.  Cheers, Holley

Look Who's cute

Here's the cutest image from Tickled Pink, which was acquired by CC Designs.  I haven't seen them sell these stamps in a while, but occasionally see them offer these stamps in digi format. I just love this entire stamp line, TOO cute.

Here's a great fall theme card from a kit by SEI. I am using some lace that I got as well. I just love their awesome cardstock and as you can see, faintly on the left, it's a beautiful embossing on it.  So smile darling and have a great week!

Give Thanks

Sharing another fall theme card using a pressed leaf that I got from a church friend.  This dear friend has since left the church and moved to be closer to her family, but she leaves many books behind that have pressed leaves in them which I will be using to make cards for the church.  She's such a dear!

Dia de los Muertos

Happy Dia De los Muertos!  Hope you are having a wonderful day, it's time to celebrate! Day of the Dead.  Here's an awesome image from Dilly Beans that I used to create this care along with some great lace from Turkiye.  I hope you have a fabulous Day of the Dead this year.

It's a time to celebrate remembrance of your lost loved ones.  Often an alter is set up with photos, and things that the dearly departed loved.  In Christian places the holiday may be celebrated as All Saints day
