Here's a super cute card from an SEI kit that's very summery I think.  Enjoy the Ride is the perfect sentiment as I am just a few more days from vacation.  WOO HOO, let us all keep our fingers crossed for me.

At any rate.  I should just be very thankful for everything that I do have.  Amen to that.

Over there Sis!

Here's the cutest new image from Sandra Caldwell today.  This cutie will get added to her store on Etsy today, Babycakes DND.  It's called Over There SIS 3174.  Isn't she just TOO cute. I adore her little girl stamps.  I am also using some great Turkish lace on this card and some adorable little buttons.

Well, at this point I should have been a week and half into my trip, but, instead, I am just FIVE days from going to Turkiye.  Perhaps I shouldn't get my hopes up too much.

Slow Down

I think the sentiment on this card is just perfect for life the last couple of months.  We were all pretty much given this mantra.  "SLOW DOWN"  hopefully the enjoy the day thing happened as well, but definitely the "SLOW DOWN" just had to happen when nearly everyone in the world got quarantined to their homes.

Sharing this funny cat portrait stamp today.  This image comes from La Petite Market on Etsy. I got a whole bunch of their stamps a while back.  I just adore their cute animals. I also added some gorgeous Turkish lace to the card.  I couldn't resist this bright blue lace while shopping the last time I was in Turkiye.

Here's a wonderful new digi image from artist Sherri Baldy to thank all those amazing store clerks who are staying at work and working extra for you and me so that we can still access groceries and other needed supplies everyday!  Kudos to all of them and all of those who help keep that food chain (like the truckers, factory workers, warehouse employees, stockers, etc.) going so we can all have what we need!  God Bless all of you.

Life begins after coffee

Sharing this fun coffee theme card today.  I got these cute die cuts pre-made so I don't know which company sells the die.  The stamp comes from  Hampton arts and was a wood mount.  Too funny.  I added some wonderful Turkish Lace in the background.

I am not sure what I love so much about coffee stamps. I really don't drink a lot of coffee though I do love the smell of freshly brewed coffee and when in Turkiye I will drink a cup or two.  Hmmm.  Something about the stamps really appeal to me though.

The Best is yet to Come

I just love these lady images from artist Tierra Jackson.  They are super cute and super fun.  I made a quick and simple card using this image today and added a unity sentiment, "The Best is yet to Come".  I hope you are having a wonderful start to the summer.

I don't ever seem to go to the beach, but perhaps when I am old with cute curly hair and flamingo earrings, I will be brave enough to put on a swimsuit and off I go!

Remember When

Well, I made this card back in Feb, around my blog celebration time.  At the time I was thinking Remember when....I had surgery 10 years ago.  Nowadays, Remember when means something so very different.  Not just to me, but to everyone around the entire world.  It seems like so very long ago when things were "normal" and that things will never truly go back to what we will fondly remember as the "good ol days now."

So, Remember When?  have a time you want to remember? and event?

Taking off today for my trip.  I am both nervous and super excited.  I think more excited than nervous.  I think the virus is surrounding me no matter where I go, so I might as well use my plane ticket and all the $ spent on lodging and go experience some social distancing far away.  OK--so TODAY was the day I was SUPPOSED to go, Turkish Airlines cancelled my ticket (SIGH), so now I am not leaving until July 1st!  so what you read is what I had wanted to say....IF I was leaving.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful summer and I will be posting cards all summer long.  This cute card is for my DH who has been super supportive and encouraging. Love him to bits and I will miss him so very much. Great Big Hugs as the card says!

Feline Good

Here's a fun cat card using a wonderful digi stamp from Marie Medel Illustrations on Etsy. I just love her beautiful stamps. I had introduced her several years ago when I was celebrating my 8th or 9th year post brain surgery, I can't recall which.  Her cute stamps were a huge hit!

This image comes from a cute set of Cat theme stamps.  I have cards using several of the others as well.  I will be sharing them as the time comes.  Cheers, Holley

Cup of Tea (or coffee)

Here's a little cup of tea (or coffee if that is your preference) using a wonderful set of stamps from Unity stamps today.  As you can see, I actually made the card with some cute coffee bean embellishments.  I also used some great Turkish lace to go with it. The sentiment says, "our talks are always the best talks."

Missing "talking" to people in person, though it's nice to chat with people online, it's still not the same as seeing people in person and chatting. I am sure many of you are feeling the same way.

Also, is it just me or is it weird to be talking to be when they have masks on?  it's so hard to read a person when you can't really see their face.  WOO HOO, just five more days.

In my defense,

Here's a hilarious cat and sentiment from Tim Holtz. I have seen stamps by the same artist (I assume) from the Cat's Pajamas and Katzel Krafts. I just love this cat, He's hilarious!  TOO FUN, I have to have all of them.  The sentiment is "In my defense, I was left unsupervised."  The cat has that look that I think I would have if I got caught.  Hmmmm.

Have a wonderful day!!  This cute little doily on the card comes from Stampin' Up.  I thought it was a nice eye catcher to go with the other items.  Just 6 more days :)  WOO HOO

Nurse Card

Here's another nurse theme card that I made.  It's among those that I sent to the local nursing home (at the end of my street in Austin) when I sent them a bunch of cards around Easter time.  I sent cards for all the residents along with cards for the staff including a couple of cards for the nurses.  

These cute stamps were freebie images from Tiddly Inks stamps in digi format on their Facebook Group.  I love this company's images. I have made a number of wonderful cards using their images (see HERE). So drop by their page and maybe get this freebie and check them out!

Here's the cutest image from Notturno Digital Arts today.  Makes me want to put on a bathing suit and get into my bath tub, LOL!  Sorry, no going down to the public swimming pool for me.  For one I am too darn shy to be doing that anymore, but also just this social distancing and such.  Frankly I highly doubt they will open up this summer, much the chagrin of all the kids and parents.

But I do adore this cute set of stamps that you get at her store, check them out HERE.  The countdown is on, just 10 more days until vacation!!

Summer time

Well, now that school is "out." Hmmmm, I hope everyone and their kids can find some time to relax. I would say relax and be together, but haven't we all been together just a LOT lately?  I am sure for some that is just perfect and for others it is grinding on their last nerves already and summer is just now starting up!

Let's all pray for patience, joy and happiness this summer.  May we all be relaxed and may those who lead our (and all the other) country find solutions for the situations so that we may return to something more like the past we fondly remember.  Can you believe there will be a time when we will be saying things like, "I remember a time when we didn't have to wear face masks everytime we left the house."
