Always Kiss me Good Night
Hello everyone! Well I realize that Valentine's is actually over, but I know that Feb puts me in that love-y mood. And esp. after that Valentine's weekend, I am totally lovestruck and expressing it all the time (and after 16 years with him)!! There's so many new love theme stamps at Sweet Pea that I decided I would be dedicating all of Feb to some gorgeous red/pink cards filled with LOVE. This gorgeous image is from Sweet Pea artist Helena Reis and is called Follow Your Heart III. It is currently available in digi format.
Drop by the Sweet Pea store and check out all the gorgeous images from Helena Reis. I just love her beautiful ladies and their lovestruck looks. Today's the last day for blog candy. I will be picking people for today's winners, both digi stamp winners and rubber stamp winners.
TOMORROW I will post a list of the GRAND PRIZE winners, these will be things like the die cutters, stamps set(s), and so forth that will be added to people's packages. So be sure and check back tomorrow to check that list and send your address if need be. Will be only a very short time for those people who don't send their addy to do so. After that we can have a re-draw for anyone who didn't get a prize to be put in a drawing to claim those prizes.
SO many winners added to the list today...all the way up to yesterday now....check it out HERE!!
Here's a closeup of the image itself. There's actually a heart that she is looking at on the image, but I added a dimensional heart on the card.

It's Dr A, Bear
So, something I mentioned before this month was that artist Sandra Caldwell had done something really special this month which is create a stamp for me. She asked me what I wanted and I said I would love a Doctor stamp. So she created this adorable Bear. He's holding a Banner, on which I put the number 4, for 4 years seizure free. there's a great sentiment on the bottom that is kind of hard to read on the photo, but it says, "Words can't adequately express the depth of my gratitude."
I am using all wonderful papers from Paper Temptress for this card. Paper Temptress is also a prize sponsor and she is giving away a wonderful pack of the Valentine Assortment, which is all gorgeous reds, pinks and specialty papers.
The card above is using Indigo Blue column paper as the base. The gorgeous die cuts from Spellbinders on the side are Incandescent Nero. I wish you could see the layered cardstock clearer, but it's just stunning in person, it's called Laser Silver Lustre and I rubbed it with black ink to give it grayish tone. So beautiful!. I printed out my image using Neenah Solar White and colored it using Copic Markers.
So how about today's comment be a Thank You for Dr. Aboumatar and his Staff at Austin Epilepsy. They not only helped me and changed my life, but they do this work everyday. Leave them a little thank you as your comment and I will print them all out and send them to their office when I send them this card!!
New winners have been posted today, please check there for your name!!

Heartbreaker
Here's a super tall card from Doodlebug using a fun Digi-stamp from Bombshell Stamps called Muertos Doll. The Background stamps and the sentiment are also from Bombshell in the rubber stamp set Man's Ruin. As some of you know I am from San Antonio TX originally, so I am very familiar with Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which is a day of huge celebration and prayers in memory of those who have deceased, typically Nov 1/2.
So, here's today's question, we have kinda been talking about it over the month, but what company makes your favorite stamps, what are your favorite stamp topics?

How about you? any fave companies? fave topics?
7 Gypsies? Hero Arts? Inkadinkado? CC Designs? Crafter's Companion? Sweet Pea? Besties?
Cheers, Holley

Bunny Love
Here's the cutest bunny you have ever seen! It's an adorable stamp from SSS artist Sherri Baldy. I made this fun card for the Besties Challenge Bingo game. They have a bingo chart and you need to select three items in a row and make your card. My choice from the bingo board was lace (the pink flowers), buttons, and blue. I added a darling wood embellishment, because she is just a darling
Are yall loving her stamps? she sells them in both Digi as well as clear stamps. I personally use the digi stamps as I like to resize them (also to get them as soon as I buy them, lol! skip that darn waiting in the mail!)
I am starting to update the winner list more frequently now as the end of the month is coming quickly. I am also starting, though very slowly to set the items together and get envies ready for some mailings, lol. This is going to be quite a task. I am also making a list of the grand prizes, Spellbinders, Sheet of Stamps from Sweet Pea, Stamp set from Queen Kat, Set of Die Cuts from Marianne Designs, multiple stamp sets....it's going to be some week.
Please leave a comment for today's contest and check the winner list for you name, then email me your address or email, depending on which list you are in, I haven't heard from the following people-- Ger, Barb S. (FL), paulaj, Cheryl Davies, Lisa Allport, Mallika. grandma lee, Tainaj Scott, Andree, Nikki C, Stephanie, sam, Gail Behrl, Bahwana, Pat, riliska, Phi, Wendy McCarthy, Erin Bently, Linderhea, bissecat, scrapperme, Cheryl, Melody Dings, Iris
Do you know someone on this list? drop them a message to please look at the winner board (click the link at the upper right hand side). email htondre@aol.com. Note, I am using the name you left you comment with.

Squigglefly Challenge
Happy Monday everyone! It's the last Monday of the celebration month and it's time for the Squigglefly challenge of the week. This week it's my team, the Holley Hobbyists who are heading up the challenge, it's called "I give thee a recipe." The recipe this week is to include Twill, printed paper (at least a piece) and at least one button/brad/eyelet. As you can see on my card, I chose to use printed paper as my background, I am using black and white twill on the red cardstock and I added three buttons. This fun image is Shih Tsu from artist Enid Barnes. I am also using a sentiment from the Squigglefly stamp set Just Flyin By.
Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge blog and join in the fun if you want to play along with us. You can even get a FREE image from Squigglefly HERE.
Which artist at Squigglefly (click here) is your favorite? For me, I think there are Hilarious one from Mike Eustis (i.e. Roboboots and StudMuffin), Cheryl Alger makes the most darling girls, and Fawn Palmer as I love her sexy fun images and most especially the adorable sayings that she always adds to them!!
Be sure and check the current winner's list (CLICK HERE) and see if your name is on it...if you name is in Black Bold print, then I haven't gotten your address or email, so please drop me a line at htondre@aol.com. Have a Happy Day!
Here's a new image from Squigglefly artist Cheryl Alger called Backpack Maddie. I made this card for the Squigglefly challenge this week which is to include a sentiment from Squigglefly on your card. I added a sentiment that comes with another Squigglefly stamp called Just Flyin' By, an adorable bear stamp with four different sentiments for only $3.
Which die cutter type do you have? Sizzix? Wizard? Cricut? Cuttlebug do you have more than one?
I must confess that I have too many, lol! Way back when, I got the smallest size Sizzix, then I got a Making Memories Slice as a gift. That really made me want a Cricut. I had a dear friend give me her old red Sizzix, the very first original one. Eventually I got myself a Cuttlebug, as it seems to cut every die the best and it also cut different sizes. Lastly and most recently I picked up one of the Sizzix Bigz as it was on sale for $29. At this point I pretty much just use the Cuttlebug and Bigz, I keep them side by side right next to my crafting area.
OK, that's my confession for the day, how about you, what die cut machines do you have?

The Vintage Heart
Happy Friday everyone! Here's a stunning image from a brand new artist at Sweet Pea stamps, Charity Dauenhaur. As I mentioned last week, there's so many stunning love themed images, I have decided I would spend all month in my Sweet Pea cards using a red/pink combo. This week, all the design team members are creating cards using Charity's stamps. I chose The Vintage Heart. I just love this new artist's style, you will be seeing lots more of her images.
Here's a closeup of the stamp itself. Currently her stamps are available in digital format.

Have a great weekend and I hope you will get some stamping in! If you have time, be sure and check the link to check out the artist's original coloring on this image, as my coloring is totally different. It really gives you a great idea of the versatility of this stamp.
So I know you all THINK my favorite colors totally must be pink and red by now, hey, it's like Valentine's MONTH not day, but in reality my favorite colors are actually orange and yellow. I do like red and pink, also brown. I have the hardest time using purples, greens and light blues/aqua shades.
So what are your favorite colors? what colors do you use when you want to challenge yourself?

Princess Tilda
Here's a fun Princess Tilda. She's in her royal blue dress. I added a great sentiment today "One today is worth two tomorrows." I think many of us who have been through something like brain surgery, other life changing experience be them in our own life or with someone very close to use definitely get that. You really come to a place where you can be very thankful for each day that you get.
Here's a fun question today...do you like Magnolia? I clearly just LOVE them, I also love Gorjuss Girls and several other stamp lines that are well known as having their stamps done without a mouth on them or very little. My husband however, will tell me, he doesn't like these images, he truly thinks they are very creepy without the mouth. What you do think? big fan, not a fan or indifferent?
I look forward to hearing everyone's opinion on this.

Heartbreaker
Here's more stamps from Bombshell Stamps. I am the guest designer for this company this month. This image comes from their set Man's Ruin. I added some fun Skull paper to go with it as well as a heart breaker sentiment as well as broken heart embellishment.
I guess from several of the cards this month, even though the majority so far have been about love, you can definitely tell that I like Skulls. My other favorite topics are cute girls, sexy women, funny sayings, Halloween....
What are your favorite stamp topics?

Missing Summer Yet?
Here's a little summer reminder for those of you who are freezing cold due to the harsh winter conditions that we seem to be going through this winter. Even here in South Texas we have had more days of unexpected cold than usual. While we are back to our usual temp, I can see that much of the north is still getting hit with the cold. I figured this card might bring a little warmth to your day. It's a fun image from Sassy Studio.
Had a couple of people inquire about the festivities...I printed out my story on the Feb 1st page. I think this whole month is very much about gratitude for what I have been given and reaching out to those around me who were so very nice to me at a very hard time. Once I was so much better and so clearly blessed, I truly feel the need to give back and do some amount of outreach to those around me, both those in my day to day life as well as those in my "internet" life.
It makes me think of a song (hymn) called Freely, Freely

Here's My heart for you....
Here's an adorable image from SSS Artist Sherri Baldy. Isn't this girl the cutest? I just love her images, this is Img157. The challenge this week is to create a card with some homemade flowers on it. I have added two here in some yellow and sparkly paper. I also added a fun butterfly die cut that I got recently.
Drop by the SSS Challenge blog this week and join in the fun. If you have a winning card, you will get a bunch of free stamps from SSS!!
The question for the day is, do you like to add flowers to your cards? do you use store bought or handmade flowers (either die cuts or hand crafted?) Personally, I love adding flowers and typically I use store bought flowers.

Love you much
Here's another wonderful image from Stampin' Chef. So excited to have prizes from this fun company. Her stamps are just too fun, both cute type images as well as sexy type images. On this girl, I have to say, I really love the socks! I live in an old pier and beam house and the floors can get very cold (ok, that's relative I know, I am in South Texas which is warm compared to most other places). But I do love big long socks, over the knee is even better!
Hope you are having a great weekend, please leave a comment today to be eligible for blog candy in today's drawing.

Be Mine
Here's another fun valentine card that I made using a wonderful stamp from Simply Betty Stamps. I just love her images. I have made some fun valentines this year, I didn't want to show this one before Valentine's Day though as sometimes my hubby does see the blog :)
Here I am using a couple die cuts, some Jolees stickers, some cardstock stickers....so tell me today, what type of embellishments are your favorites on cards?
As I am sure you have started to notice, I do love die cuts, I also love buttons, cardstock stickers, and flowers with those glazed style brads as well as bling. Which type of embellishments are your favorites?

Meet Rose
This week over at Sweet Pea stamp is the variation's week, that means that each designer is using the same stamp to create a card. I think this technique is a wonderful way to see so many different ways to use the same stamp! This beautiful stamp today is Concetta Kilmer's Rose image. Stunning! She is currently available as a digital stamp. Here's my card using this beautiful stamp. Doesn't this make a hot valentine card?
As soon as this stamp came out, a friend on the DT tells me, "Oh Holley, this looks just like a stamp you would use to make your hubby a card." Yes, Yes indeed it does. I added sentiments on the card for him too. Here's a close up of the image, Rose.
Be sure and check out all of the amazing stamps at Sweet Pea stamps.
Sweet Pea is offering wonderful prizes this month, both rubber stamps and digi-stamps. Drop by the Sweet Pea Blog today and check out everyone's card using this fun image and tell me which of the DT cards you like using ROSE, since we are all making cards using ROSE this week

Perfect in Pink
Here's an adorable card using a fun image from Sherri Baldy and gorgeous paper from Paper Temptress. Right now Paper Temptress has a fun Valentine Collection that I love because it has all sorts of reds and pinks as well as the shimmery yellow I am using on this card. I am sure by looking at my blog, you can tell those are colors I love!
Paper Temptress will be offering a prize today! Thanks so very much to her for doing so.
Check out the Valentine Collection. She will be sending it to the prize winner.
This card is using the Hambly Clear Overlays, this one is called Magenta Brocade. It comes in a great 6x6" pack (Hambly Overlays pack 1), which is perfect for card sizes, you get 11 pcs, all different patterns on sale for $2.37. The base of the card is a stunning shimmery piece, I know you can't see much of it here, but when the recipient opens it, they will really see how nice this cardstock is, it's Rose Quartz. The pink strips are Cotton Candy Pop tones. The shimmery gold background is Gold metallic. The white paper that I used on this card is called Heavenly White. It's great if you use Copic Markers.
Which of these papers on the card are your favorite? do you like these colors? if not, what's your favorite color family?
Be sure to keep your eye on the winner list, it gets updated regularly now, you can get to it by clicking on the image in the upper right hand column. Drink Up!
Hi everyone! Happy Wed. Here's a fun card for this month's sketch Challenge at the Bombshell Blog. As you know, I am the guest designer this month, so I am using the sketch provided and made a fun card using a set called Man's Ruin. I used this set last week and just wanted to give you some additional ideas of ways you can use this image.
Hope you all are having fun this month. Tomorrow is the actual day in which I had the first operation. I can remember so many years ago, this night, before the surgery being SO very nervous and hopeful. If you haven't seen my story before you can see it here (CLICK HERE).Please leave a comment today to be in for today's drawing
Cheers, Holley

Squigglefly Challenge
Happy Monday everyone! It's time for this week's Squigglefly Challenge. The challenge this week is called Square Pegs. That means you need to have a Square shaped card! Here's my example this week using a brand new stamp designed by Squigglefly artist Fawn Palmer. She's Burlesque Beauty Magenta. She comes with the fun sentiment "Anyone can drive a straight line, but it takes a real man to handle these curves." HA! too cute. There's a couple other fun Burlesque girls out this month too.
Check out all the cards that the Holley Hobbyists made on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog today and then feel free to join in! You can even grab a freebie from Squigglefly and play (click here). There's a brand new freebie called "Mound of Chocolate" tell me that isn't the way to your heart (note, that freebie is on the front page of the Squigglefly store, not the freebies page).
Do you use digi-stamps? these are images that you get online and then print them out on your computer to use just like stamped images. I do love them because I can take an image and size it however large or small I want for my card. Also, unlike when I stamp and make a mistake, I don't waste paper printing it out. (oh yeah, and they are much less expensive and no shipping charges too!!)
So, What do you think of Digi-stamps?
Cheers, Holley

Please Be Mine
Here's a super adorable image from one of my favorite artists, Sandra Caldwell. She makes digi stamps at Babycakes Doodle This and That and the Queen Kat store sells digi stamps as well as rubber stamps. I am excited to be giving away prizes that are her images!
Later this month I will be showing the cutest image that she made JUST FOR ME this year, it's called Bearly Doctor Teddi! She designed a Doctor Bear just for me so I could make my Doctor a stamp. How cute is that. Perhaps last year you can remember that she made a stamp of me! What a huge surprise that was, it was me wearing a crown that had the number 3 on it (for 3 years) (Click here to see). Here's just a few of Sandra's images that I have made cards from Click here if you want to see them.
Just leave a comment today to be in the drawing for today's prize. I have also started a list of the prize winners, it will be updated regularly, the link to it is on the top of the left hand column.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers, Holley

Cherry Blossom Dreams
Here's a gorgeous stamp from Sweet Pea artist Helena Reis called Cherry Blossom Dreams. Isn't she stunning? This fun image is available as both a digital image as well as a rubber stamp. I made this pink monotone theme card using lots of wonderful valentine theme embellishments to go with her. I am so into making Valentine's cards lately.
Here's a great close up of this beautiful stamp.
Be sure and check out Helena Reis' other stamps that are available at the Sweet Pea store.
Today, how about telling me which artist at SWEET PEA is your favorite....
I have a bunch of wonderful stamps both digi and rubber to hand out from this wonderful company. I have been designing for them many years AND I was with this company back when I found out that I would be having brain surgery. It was quite a shocking revelation at the time. I really didn't know it was coming. They were all so wonderful to me!
Here's the Sweet Pea site to check out, Tell me which of the artists you like best: CLICK HERE

Endless Love
Hey everyone, sorry if the side bar and background images are messed up today, I am working on fixing that with photobucket.
Here's a fun stamp from Queen Kat stamps called Endless Love. It just makes me think of a couple who spent their whole lives together and died in each other's arms. I colored up the roses on this image in yellow and then added some yellow flowers. I am using background paper from Carta Bella.
Here's a fun question for the day, what's the longest married couple you know? We just had a couple in my church, they have been married 65 years!! WOW. But if I am picking like immediate friends and family, hmmmm, I guess my parents are over 42 years now.
How about you? do you know any Endless Love in your life? I just saw a family member (on facebook) who wanted to say that love never lasts. Ahhh, how sad of her to think, she's only 17. I have been with my sweetie John for 16 years. Let's show her how really endless love can be!
Cheers, Holley
If you haven't signed up for the previous days, be sure you have left a comment each day, as winners will be picked each day!! None of the days have been selected, so you still have time to sign up! ALSO, ESP be sure to sign up on Feb 1st (click here) as that is the main candy posting and where the Grand Prize candy winners will get drawn!!

Cute little hearts
Here's a fun card today using a great image from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Sherri Baldy, she's img163, just perfect for Valentines Day. The challenge at SSS this week is to include a heart on your card so I used an image that has hearts in it, as well as some adorable heart shaped buttons!
Drop by the SSS Challenge blog to check out the cards from the DT today (Feb 3rd). The image will show FIVE stamps that you can win if your card is chosen as the winner.
Question for the day is, which of these Five stamps is your favorite? When you leave a comment, let me know which of these is your favorite. CLICK here, there will be one photo that shows the five images, each one will have the name on there IMGXXX for it's name.
Must say after seeing everyone's comments yesterday, 1) I am SO glad that I don't live in the snow that's as HUGE as the rest of you. 2) Right now I ALMOST wish I was were some of you live in Australia. It will also reach those temperatures 110+ here where I live in TX. Right now that would feel good, but of course for only a minute. Truth is, in winter, much of the time, our temps are 70 or so, so it generally is a nice season for us.
Please leave a comment today, as told above.... if you missed the previous two days of the contest, Go back to FEB 1st...this day is the MAIN posting for the contest during which prize members and GRAND prizes will be picked (click here). Feb 2 hasn't had their winner selected yet, that will happen in a couple days (click here for that if you missed it).
Cheers, Holley

My Sunshine
Here's a fun stamp from Tiddly Inks, Isn't she so cute! I just love this artist's fun images. I used some MM polka dot paper and fun ribbon to add a background and a border around it, then filled the card with some gorgeous pink flower buttons and embellishments. Had to add the sentiment "My sunshine" to it.
I hope you are all having a great year and are starting to thaw out from the freezing cold, at least if you are living in the USA, we have been having some unusually cold weather. Even here in south TX, where is quite unusual, we actually got some snow (ok, not really, more like a slight dusting of ice) but when you never see the ground turn white, it's quite a big thing.
So, how about a fun question for the day, tell me, how much snow have you been in? is that snow you saw on a vacation or snow where you live? For me, I guess the coldest place I ever lived, probably a tie between north Alabama when I worked at NASA and school at Texas Tech in north TX. Those places will give snow a couple times a year, that will mean a few inches worth, enough to cover the grounds pretty good.
How about you? Does it really snow where you live? do you like it? add that when you leave a comment today...
Did you sign up yesterday? if not, be sure and go to the Feb 1st posting and leave a comment, that posting will have winners chosen all month long! This posting will have it's winner chosen in a few days from now so tell your friends to drop by and join in. Cheers, Holley

BLOG CANDY IS HERE!!
Woo Hoo!! It's time to start, are you ready? I know I am. I am so very thankful to have another year to celebrate. I know when much younger, I was often told I would be sicker and sicker and probably not make it past 40. It made life hard at times, it made me live everyday like it was my last and do a lot of things while young like go to all the NBA All Star games, push harder to do well as an Engineer and get recognized, and eventually, wear my body down to get sick. So very sick.
By 2009, sick to point that I was doing very little. I met Dr Aboumatar, on my first appointment, he told me, you need surgery (i.e brain surgery). I shut down. Got my husband, let him talk to the doctor. That is what started the path to surgery. By Feb, I had gone through lots of tests and was ready for surgery to happen. It's not an easy thing. Two brain surgeries later, I was done. After healing, It took about 2 months before I realized I was better. Not just a little better, REALLY better. Like better than I had felt in a decade!! Of course, they will NEVER call surgery a success in a two month period. Never. In fact, you don't yourself. You spend your time constantly praying for another seizure free moment, seizure free day, seizure free night, and for thanks for that seizure free moment that you were given!
This month I will hit 4 years.....WOW. The further I get, the BETTER the likelihood is that I will remain seizure free. There's a percentage of people who go through this surgery like mine and have seizures again, many in the first year, but some in the later years. So I try to always be thankful for what I am given NOW and to give back to all those who have helped me and been there for me all this time.
So, Let's Celebrate. I am giving back to all the crafters out there, both old and new as the crafting community was so very good to me when I was going through the whole process prior to surgery, having the surgery, suffering post-surgery, and then step-by-step getting better after surgery!! I have so many people to thank!!

Here's a card expressing my Love and appreciation to all of you guys!! Big Hugs. Everyone please leave a comment below. Winners will get drawn from this location all month long!! Then, each day as postings appear, there will be people picked. All countries are welcome to join in.
I anticipate that many people will win more than once, thus packages will be mailed at the end of Feb. I am usually pretty quick at getting packages out and I will post which packages get mailed out everyday. I also have companies giving prizes--Huge thanks to Paper Temptress, Scrapbook Stamp Society, Sherri Baldy, Babycakes, Squigglefly, and Sweet Pea Stamps!!
If you see you name on the winner list, drop me your address, htondre@aol.com. If at any time you have an issue leaving a comment, you can email it to me and I will be sure to post your comment to the day's contest.
