Wow, it's been an incredible month! Now it's an incredibly big task to get all these goodies wrapped up and sent out all over the world. Whew! Lol, I am sitting on the living room floor surrounded on every side of myself by boxes and boxes of crafting prizes. At some point, I just had to take a couple photos so you all can really see....you have to think about what some of these things are...you may see a rubber stamp, but that stamp is a STACK of rubber stamps probably 10 deep!! WHOA!

It's a Chocolate Blog Hop

Today's the last day of Feb and the last day of the Celebration, but I won't stop celebrating!! I'm in a blog hop today with the Scrapbook Place blog hoppers. The theme today is chocolate, so I whipped up this Kraftin' Kimmie sweetie and made this card for the hop.I have had so much fun this month, I would love the hear which card was everyone's favorite this month in the comment today. Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday! Are you ready for another Squigglefly Challenge today? Today's challenge is SFC0812 Spring is in the air....what does spring mean to you? flowers blooming, children playing, love in the air, gardening? It can mean all sorts of things. For me, it's a time to get out of the house before the heat of summer hits us. The addition to the challenge is that you must use a ribbon somewhere in your card. I chose this delightful puppy called "Balance Ball" from Squigglefly. I made this card using stunning papers from Paper Temptress.
The front of the card uses a wonderful thick column paper called Red Pepper Thick Column. The brown textured paper is a ruche called Cocoa Crepe. The crepe is used both as a border and as a die cut under the image. The image has been printed and colored on some great copic friendly paper called Neenah Solar White.

Inside the card, I added a fun sentiment from Squigglefly called "Chinese Character Hello" by artist Fawn Palmer. The paper is also from Paper Temptress a thick textured black paper called Black Felt Grandee and the image is on Neenah Solar White. To fufill the ribbon obligation, I added the beautiful red grossgrain ribbon here on the inside of the card.

I hope this card has inspired you to play in this week's Squigglefly Challenge. You just need to create a spring theme card and include some ribbon on it. With all my Heart....Blog Candy

Here's a great Sweet Pea stamps image from artist Rebecca Sinz called Seasons Summer (Plate #200). She also has stamp designs for all the other seasons in a collection. Be sure to check it out on the website, as my coloring on this card looks so different from the artist's design. She's so bright and colorful here, it makes me think much more of springtime, which we are enjoying as our day to day weather is in the 70s. Sending out special birthday wishes today! Hope you have a great day. Here's a wonderful card I made using a fun image from Squigglefly called Brr-thday Chef. The challenge this week was to use yellow somewhere on the card, so I added some illumination above the candles of the bday cake and some fiber above the stunning lace that I got from Turkiye. Hope this card makes the Birthday person smile. Today's card using another adorable stamp from Simply Betty Stamps. This is one that my husband John gave me. Isn't she adorable? I just love those little skull earrings. Too cute. I added a sweet saying "A dream is a wish your heart makes." I am sure you all know the dream I had. I can't believe it came true!How about some more blog candy? Penguin Love --Blog Candy

Here's a card I made for the Squigglefly Challenge this week. The theme for this week is called "Have a Heart, Please" so the only requirement is that the card contains a heart somewhere. I think the penguins themselves on this card show so much heart! Of course though, there's a heart on the little one's chest and a heart in the embellishment that I painted with Smooch.
I wish the image did this card more justice as both the papers are shiny metallic lustre and so shimmery. This image comes from Squigglefly and is called "Penguin Family". It is a newly released image (click here).

Squigglefly Challenge

Hello! Happy Monday. This monday is a new Squigglefly Challenge. This week the Holley Hobbyists are hosting a game over at the Squigglefly blog, the challenge this week is called "Have a heart, please!" I guess with Valentines being here, that brings thoughts of the holiday straight to mind, but here's my card for the challenge.I am using an adorable digi-stamp from artist Linda Birkinshaw called Easter Sundae. Then I added a heart of bling and some adorable heart adorned ribbons. What heart theme card do you have in mind? Pull out a Squigglefly image and give it a try. Gorjuss Girl

Here's one of my all time favorites. I am sure that is obvious just based on my blog's design. It's the Gorjuss Girl from artist Suzanne Wolcott. Too cute. I also used some beautiful lace that I got on my trip to Turkiye last summer. My husband and I were just remarking this christmas season that we wouldn't have been able to make that trip if I was still sick as I was before (i.e. before the brain surgeries that I am celebrating this month). I even sent the doctor a photo collage from our trip in his office's christmas card just to let him know that we always remember that he is a big reason for many of the things that I can do now.Be sure to sign up for the blog candy opportunities....Feb 1st is the main sign up, people are being drawn from there daily! Happy Birthday! (Blog Candy!!)

So this week Squigglefly was having a blog challenge to make a Birthday card. I took one of their newest stamps called Birthday Girl by Gemma Mortlock and the nicest lustre cardstocks from Paper Temptress to make a great Birthday card.

Here's a close up of the beautiful papers from Paper Temptress, they are all shimmery Mica Cardstocks papers, the base is called Flame and the red is Jupiter. I did the Digi-Stamp on Neenah Solar White, which prints wonderfully through my printer. The awesome butterflies are die cuts using cutters from CC Designs and textured Ruche paper called Black Crepe.
Be sure and make a fun card for the Squigglefly Challenge card this week using a birthday theme. Check out the store and the Squigglefly Site to see the Newest Releases this week. Fading Love (Blog Candy)

Here's a stunning new image from artist ching-chou kuik called Fading Love (Plate #199). I used a mono-tone theme on this card, but in a round about kind of way since I widened the color family to include all tones of blue. I also added just a tiny tint of green in there, to help tie the blue green and the rich blues together.
Here's a close up of this wonderful stamp, if you go to the store, you will see how differently she is colored by the artist, with black hair and a red dress on.

Angel Birdie

Instead of Angel Baby, I call her, Angel Birdie, but her real name from Kraftin' Kimmie is Seraphina. Isn't she the sweetest? Just perfect for a Sunday Angel card. Today's posting has candy too! It's a special first weekend, today's prize is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Springtime Maise.

Here's an awesome stamp from Simply Betty Stamps. I just love the attitude of this stamp. She's a valentine girl who is gonna get what she wants. I added my own sentiment to this card, I call it "You are mine!" I see the look on that girl's face, you know that's what she is thinking!So, let's have some fun today, when you post, tell me what you want for valentines...hmmmm, let me think, does rubber stamps count? I must say, the stamp I used to make this card was a gift from my husband. That man has learned the way to my heart.....

Planting Seeds of happiness (Blog Candy)

Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea stamps artist Valerie Wade called "Planting Seeds" (Plate#118). I love this artists amazing fairy images. I just had to add some stunning floral lace that I got while in Turkey, along with some beautiful butterflies. After that, I think the image stands out enough that the card doesn't need any more embellishing.I added little polka dots with a gold pen around the diecut and gently edged the cardstock of the image with some Colorbox Chalk in a deep pink. Here's a closeup of the stampIsn't she just adorable? Makes me think of a little girl running around the meadow, only instead of picking flowers, this little girl is spreading seeds that will turn into flowers.

Here, we are, February is here. This will be a month of celebration because I am about to hit 2 years after successful double-brain surgery! HUGE thanks to the Doctor who got all this to happen, Dr. Sami Aboumatar from Austin Epilepsy. Wonderful Doctor.
