Sweet Incorrigibility

Here's a wonderful image from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Elisabeth Bell called Sweet Incorrigiblity.  I think this kiddo looks way too cute to really be incorrigible. I am using a great Spellbinders frame to cut out the image as well as a wonderful saying from the Sweet Pea Vertical Sayings plate (Plate #4).
Here's a close-up of the image so you can see the wonderful details.  There's just some stamps that you see immediately and you just know it is from Elisabeth Bell, aren't her stamps adorable?
Doesn't he look sweet as can be?  what mom would call him incorrigible? OK, well, definitely SWEETly incorrigible, esp with those cute flowers he'd be giving her.  Hope this card makes you feel like crafting today.  Be sure and check out all of the Elisabeth Bell images at the store, as well as stopping by to see the current sale!

Cheers, Holley

Meet Jesse

Here's an awesome Queen Kat image called Jesse from artist Myka Jelina.  Isn't she stunning?  All of Myka's images are amazing.  I love her beautiful wings and curly hair.  She has awesome attention to detail.  She has some many stunning stamps at the Queen Kat store, it's hard to just get one or two when I am shopping there.
That awesome lace on the bottom is more of what I got last year when I was in Istanbul.  Believe it or not, I still have more stashed away that I haven't shown on my blog yet!  My dear friends there have of course invited me back and I SO want to go!!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, AC Metallic);  Stamp (Queen Kat); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); DieCut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Buttons (American Traditionals);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue);  Color (Copic Markers);

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  You know what Monday's are for...yep, it's time for the Squigglefly Challenge.  This week's challenge is to make a card using either fall theme embellishments or school theme embellishments.  Here's my cute card using this stamp called Happy Baby from artist Fawn Palmer.
Hop on over the the Squigglefly Blog and play along with this week's challenge.  You don't have to make a fall or school theme card, as long as you just include a fall or school themed embellishment on it somewhere.  Check out all the Holley Hobbyists samples and then make a card to share with us!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Squigglefly);  Leaves (Recollections);  Buttons (American Traditionals);  Stickers (All My Memories); Die Cuts (Lifestyles); Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue Dots);

Happy Halloween

As summer comes to a close and September comes, you will be seeing more and more Halloween theme cards.  I do love the Halloween theme.  I just got this awesome punch with skulls on it and I thought it would go perfectly with this amazing stamp from  Sweet Pea Stamps artist Teresa Sherman called Skeletal Candle Holder (Plate #216).

Here's a close up of the stamped image that I colored with Copic Markers.  Sweet Pea just released TWO new sheets of Rubber Stamps by the same artist that put out this image.  Also, they have some wonderful sales, all the was from $1 stamps to $4 stamps, check the site (look on the left hand side of the front page for the sales, don't forget my code too SPSHolley)

Meet Eva

Meet Eva the Witch.  This awesome image is designed by Sweet Pea Stamps artist Teresa Sherman on plate #213.  I love how mysterious she looks.  To enhance that look, I fussy cut her out and layered her on a piece of shimmery gold paper.  I mounted her on a double layer of double stick tape, so she is actually quite high on the card.

Then I added some major shimmery bling behind her.  It's thick bling covered in glitter and all black, but it gives a wonderful radiance about it and really makes Eva the Witch stand out.  Here's a close up of this wonderful stamp:
Too Cool huh?

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Crafter's Companion, Neenah);  Rubber Stamp (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento);  Bling ();  Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Glue All, Glue dots, Pop Dots);

I'm Too Cute to Spook!

Check out this adorable Queen Kat stamp from Phantom Rose artist Coriander Shea Detwiller called Witch Maker.  A couple of weeks ago I posted a card using this cutie, but I colored the image up using purples and greens.  Now I am using pinks and orange to make it look a little more girly.  I call this one "Too Cute to Spook."

Have fun making all those great Halloween cards.  It's neat to see all the Halloween images appearing in all my favorite stores already.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Stamp(Queen Kat); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Buttons (Jesse James); Sticker (); Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);

An Apple a day....

I am sure many of you recall that just a while ago there was an awesome blog hop combining two companies, Paper Temptress and Scrapbook Stamp Society.  Well here's a card that is combining the two companies again.  This gorgeous image is from artist Heather Valentin and is called "Abigal".  She's just perfect for picking apples in the fall time.  I matched her with wonderful Paper Temptress papers.
The base of the card is gorgeous Indigo Blue Skinny Columns,  stamping the image on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest paper, the border edging uses Antique Gold Metallic, and thebackground in the card uses the new Hambly Screen Overlay Gold Hanging Heliconias.  It's hard to tell because the card is laying flat here, but the edge on the right hand side has an edge punched, the gold layering has been added to the INSIDE edge of the card.  The stamped saying also has a layer of the Antique gold behind it.  The new Hambly Screen overlays are just amazing.  Here's just one simple example for using them.  Just wait until I show you more!

Project Materials: Cardstock (Paper Temptress);  DigiStamp (Addicted to Stamps-Scrapbook Stamp Society);  Rubber Stamp (Saying-Starving Artistamps);  Ink (Memento);  Punch (EK Sucess);  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  I know you all know what Monday's are for...yep, it's for playing the Squigglefly challenge.  This monday is not the Holley Hobbyist week, but I am playing with Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals in their game, which is to create a card using a technique.  This week, my technique is a double, I created a card using a monotone theme-blue and I die cut out my card using a large sized die cutter from Lifestyles (formerly Quickkutz).
I am using a fairly new stamp that I haven't ever shown before from artist Mike Eustis that I recently bought from the store, it's a favorite because you guys all know I am an engineer.  TOO Cute, this stamp is called Robo Boots.  Must say, of all the engineering projects I have ever built, I wish I had made one like this!!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzil Swiss, Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Squigglefly);  Flower (Prima);  Button (Jesse James);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Pen (Sakura); Die Cuts (Lifestyles);  Twill(Doodlebug); Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);

Be Alive!

Thought the saying here was quite fitting, "Don't ever save anything for a special occasion, being alive is a special occasion!"  Now, while I think that is often true that we often don't tend to just take advantage of what we have when we have it and later we think back about all the time we wasted and all the meaningless possesions that we accumulated and don't need, I will say, that doesn't mean that you should never save and take basic care of yourself.  There always has to be some balance between living IN the day and living day TO day.
Project Materials:  Carstock (Bazzill, Neenah, AC Metallic);  Rubber Stamp (Greeting Farm);  Saying (Vellum);  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Color (Copic Markers);  Stickers (Puffy embellishments-sticko); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots);

Jack-o-Latern Tea

Here's a wonderful stamp for Halloween from artist Elisabeth Bell.  This image is Jack-o-Latern Tea.   Here's my card using this adorable image.  I cut out the image using a large Spellbinders rectangular frame and colored it with Copic Markers.  I added some great Halloween themed embellishments including a fun
border theme sticker with halloween sayings on it as well as some dimensional candy corn stickers and then frosted the edges of the papers with Colorbox Chalk ink.  Below is a close up of the image:

Isn't this a delightful image for those Halloween cards you want to make?  I am using three shades of orange on the dress and the pumpkin YR04, YR07, and YR09.  What a fun image to play with.  Check it out at the Sweet Pea store!

Cheers, Holley

Portrait of Washington

Kat Washington, that is!  This is a great new image from artist Sandra Caldwell called Kat Washington at Queen Kat stamps.  Too cute.  I thought it looked just like a portrait, so I made up this card like it was.  Instead of putting a name below it, I used a cool button that says "I heart Cats."
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, AC Metallic);  Image (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Corners (Spongebob scrapbook kit);  Button (Jesse James);  Bling (Michaels);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);

Beautiful

Here's a wonderful image from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Morgan Fitzsimons called Cameo 8a.  I just love this lady.  Right when I was about to have brain surgery I went from having long hair, I mean LONG hair, like past my tail bone, to super short hair like this woman.  Though I haven't been quite brave enough to get the sexy tatoo on my arm that she has, I did end up liking the short hair.
Be sure to check out all the wonderful stamps that Morgan has in the Scrapbook Stamp Society store.  Her images are all really stunning, not just the amazing lady stamps, she also has wonderful images of fairies, cute animal like teddies and pigs, perfect christmas theme images and great cars.  Her artwork is so versatile.

Tickled Pink

I love this stamp from Tickled Pink.  Any dress with a couple skulls and some thigh high striped socks...how cute is that? What I don't know is, do I love these images because they dress like me, or have I just started to dress like them?  Hmmm, thoughts to ponder.  Now, you know you must have a good life when you have time to think about something THAT silly!
Seriously though, I don't spend much time thinking about such silly things, but I do get a pleasure out of making a cute little card like this and smiling.  I hope this card has made you smile today. Oh yeah, something important today--Happy Birthday Linda!!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (AC, Bazzill, Neenah);  Stamp (Tickled Pink);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cut Frames (Lifestlyes); Die Cut Corners (Memory Box, Cheery Lynn);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All)

Here's a sweet angel card from an old style stamp from Magnolia stamps.  Isn't he a cutie?  I suppose I could have colored up this image differently and made this image a girl all the same, but just felt like a boy stamp when I made this card.  Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday today.

Butterfly Girl

I used this gorgeous stamp today from Crafts and Me.  She's just super.  I had some gorgeous shimmer paper from Paper Temptress that I cut out using Spellbinders (Flame Mica) to make the background behind my image that is done on Neenah Solar white.  I used some circular orange confetti that i found to do simple embellishments.
She's just a lovely image.  I love the rich reds and oranges and of course, the striped hose that she's wearing.  I have to wonder if I am starting to dress like these stamps or if I am buying stamps because I like the way the images are dressed.  Hmmm.....

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Flame Mica, Neenah);  Stamps (Crafts and Me);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Confetti (Hobby Lobby);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Color (Copic Markers);

Another wonderful Terra Bidlespacher card

The card below is also using a great Terra Bidlespacher stamp called Tilla.  This image comes from Plate #209.  Again be sure to check out the artist's coloring as I think my version looks very different.  I am using some festive paisley background paper here that shimmers and has glitter from Heidi Grace.  Then I added Heidi Grace fabric stickers and glitter paper.
Here's a good close up of this wonderful image:
Hope I have shown my love of Terra's wonderful stamps.  Drop by the store and check out her amazing stamps and the newest stamps that have recently been added.

The image was stamped onto Neenah Solare White,  the background behind the stamped image is textured ruche called Cocoa Crepe;  those adorable butterflies are die cuts, the black paper is thick textured paper called Black Felt Grandee and the shimmery orange is perfect for shining butterfly wings, it's a Mica cardstock called Flame.  The base of the card is done on a bright yellow cardstock with flecks of mica in it, it's called Mangue Sparkle.

I love Terra Bidlespacher's stamps!!

I have to say, I like all the artists that we have at Sweet Pea stamps, but the more and more stamps that i get from Terra Bidlespacher the more I am enamored with them.  Here's one of my most recent stamps that I just adore!!  Oh.  This card is done with a shimmery cardstock and a layer of amazing die cut paper.  Then I added a tiny ribbon along the edge of the die cut.    This image is called Bite and is from Plate #210.  Be sure to check out the artist's coloring because I think my coloring makes this image look SO different.  I just love those skull panty hose on her. I would SO wear those and a chocolate cuppie cake with horns and a tail.  I love it.  That's just adorable.  What a cutie!!
I added  great saying "My heart belongs to only you!"  as I am sure you have guessed, that would be a card for my hubby.  If the outfit wouldn't entice him, I would be holding a yummy cupcake.    But, in the end, I am guessing it's the saying that would really get to him.  It might be harder to see in the photo, but I layered the image on a wonderful shimmery glittered paper in red and fussy cutted it out.  You can esp. see that at the base of the say and in between the saying and her hair where there is a gap.  It adds an extra shimmery sparkle on an already metallic cardstock base.
