Happy Saturday everyone. I hope you have a great weekend. I don't have much planned for this Easter weekend. My husband and I don't usually do much on said days. I am thankful for the Friday off, and this upcoming week will be my first full week of work in the since mid-March. Here's one of the cards that I made during my time at the convention.

Wow, I can't believe it's the last few days of March. I think this is our last day off of the year. I think after this is 8 weeks straight for the staff and the kiddos get one day off in the middle of April for Eid al-Fitr. I leave in just 54 days. Can you tell I am counting, lol? Just two more school days in March! Woo Hoo. Then it's on to April. I wonder if that makes today --Payday. Hmmm. I guess a day early doesn't really matter but it is nice. Here's a pretty Thank You card that I used a while back and gave to one of my kiddos. She and her family gave me a lovely valentine. So I gave them a little thank you.
Here's a lovely card today from a PhotoPlay kit, it says, "Hello Friend" just perfect for an everyday card. Now that it's tuesday on a short week, it's half over, WOO HOO. I am hoping my friend's overseas are all receiving their goodies already.

This card is one that i actually bought from an artist Gretagoo.art but told her that I loved her stamp carving so much. As you all probably guessed looking at the design. I know many of you don't like it but it's right up my alley. I had to share it. TOO cool.
Happy Saturday everyone! Today will be the last day of the convention so I will be getting up and going early. If you get there by 8am (I KNOW....) but if you get there super early you a ticket to enter in to wonderful special drawings, it's totally worth it as many people don't. One of these days, I have a good feeling. Last year I did win a drawing, not during the grand prize saturday morning, but during the regular convention. it was a wonderful gift certificate to booth that sells amazing brads and bling. WOO HOO.
I thought this card was just perfect for the day. Let's squeeze every little bit of fun out of today and enjoy the convention. I am taking classes and shopping for fun. WOO HOO. I hope the classes are as wonderful as they were last year (can you believe one of the classes is about COFFEE???) and I just love looking at all the amazing samples. The tables have wonderful "Make and takes" where you can sit down and use the manufacturer's products to create a project. (sometimes for a fee, sometime free)
Day 1 of the convention, but there's only one event, the evening registration and card making fest. We will be going for something like 7 hours lol, though I usually don't make it that long. I often work ahead or do things other than what the kits were for (for example, if they were scrapbook pages, I will make cards instead of scrapbook pages). I often finish early and then go back to my hotel, i mean, I gotta get up super early for tomorrow's event lol! Here's a card I made during last year's convention

Happy Hump Day! Today I am going to work then running home to grab my suitcase and take off for the scrapbook expo in Irving TX. Woo Hoo, Excited about that and happy to have a couple more days off even though I just had spring break. I hope I am able to get SO many cards made as I did last year, but I am trying not to hold myself to such a crazy standard. Last year I did 175 cards in 4 days. But this year I have only 3 days.

Last school day of spring break, though I still have the weekend to enjoy before I start back up monday. I have enjoyed the week and I am super excited to be going to the convention on Wed. What's funny is that now the countdown to Turkiye is 69 days so I am almost MORE excited how close that is.

Well, i really wish spring break had been next week, so that it would have corresponded with the convention. Instead I have to take time off to go to the convention. I wasn't too thrilled about using my days off, but I am pretty excited to go to the convention next week. Are you ready to see all the projects that i make? I really need to have some NON-LACE time to sit down and craft a bunch of wonderful cards. I feel like I don't get that much time anymore.

Every Moment Counts. I try to remember that now that vacation is coming up. That I need to stop every once in a while, and appreciate the time that I have RIGHT now before vacation comes. Sometimes we are in such a hurry to get somewhere that we are losing what we have in the moment.

Here's a school project I just had to share. the child's name is Ila. Every year the 2nd graders have a "Market Fair" to raise money and teach the kids about money, sales, budget,.... Anyways this child made stamped cards!! How cute is that?!?

What's funny is I often take card kits like this with me to Turkiye, thinking in my free time I will sit down and do one. I mean, I get home in the evening and don't go out much after dark, so.....but still, I don't ever do them!
