Last day of school for 2025

 Last day of school for me and the kiddos then we have Christmas Break for two weeks.  I think we will do a fun little party for the kids today.  I hope they enjoy it.  We got little treats, but we don't give them to them individually, we have we child draw another child's name and then pick a gift to give that child, wrap it and give it to them.

Garrison Keillor tonight

Happy Thursday.  Tonight my DH and I are going to see Garrison Keillor.  If you are from Mid West America, you know who that is.  Perhaps if you are from America, you know who that is.  He's a famous author, speaker, radio personality and well, American treasure. I think best know for Prairie Home Companion.   I can't say I knew much of him before marrying a Midwesterner, but after (lol, 25 years ago) I learned who he is, I do have a respect.

Be Merry

Happy Friday everyone!  I am glad that this weekend is here.  There's some fun events happening in Austin, on is called Horror for the Holidays.  it's at Palmer Events Center, think a cross between Halloween and Christmas with some Horror movies.  Not a fan or Horror Movies, but I do like the Halloween side and I love the skulls and other things at this event.  That's followed by lighting of the christmas tree at the capitol of Texas usually with an amazing festival too.  Last year I did both it was so much fun (and freezing cold, lol)

 Happy December!  WOW, how did this year get to December already?  it's just 24 days to Christmas, 177 days to TURKIYE!!  (and if I go 108 days to the March convention in Irving Texas).  So much to do, so much counting, lol.  WHich makes me chuckle a little because at school I am constantly counting to the number of kids in the class (9), making sure I know where everyone is ALL the time.

Holiday Cheer

 Happy Friday, or in American this day is often referred to as "Black Friday" it's considered a big sale day for many stores in preparation for the Christmas Holiday.  The name Black Friday comes from the fact that a lot of businesses go from the "red" to "black" (i,e, not yet profitable for the year to profitable for the year) on the Friday following thanksgiving.  Nowadays, esp with computers and sales running 24-7 worldwide, I have to wonder if that is really true anymore.
