Hello! Hope you are having a great day today. Happy Friday, it's my last weekend here in Istanbul, Today is friday, so on Friday's here around noonish the mosques have holy time and prayer, but also Imams teach, so it's much longer than a traditional prayer time. Most if not all businesses close during this time. The turn the lights off and the employees are free to go and pray.
Hmmm, second day in Istanbul and it's a Friday (which also means everything shuts down for several hours in the afternoon for prayer time), What should I do? hmmmm, Lace Shopping? I am thinking so.
So my flight time is actually less than 24 hours, but there is airport layover time, time change,....so I don't get to Turkiye until MIDNIGHT Thursday. (basically Wednesday late night--I had to book a room for June 4th). Will be more than relieved when I arrive and super exhausted as I don't sleep at the airport or the on the plane, so at this point I am deliriously tired. But also, SO excited that I just can't sleep. How weird is that? it will be a while before I am on regular sleep.
SO let me say Merhaba! or Hello in turkish.
Happy Memorial day. The last several years school has been ending before this holiday but for some strange reason this year we are dragging on two whole days after today off. WHAT? well, it's fine, it cost me an extra week of vacation in Türkiye and of course, pushed me into June of buying a ticket which made the ticket cost more.

Good Morning everyone. I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. I hope to be hearing that people are receiving their packages soon. Happy March! Wow, I can't believe we are in March! packages will start the mailing process TODAY! WOO HOO. I am usually off on Tue and Thursday so I hope to get them all out into the mail today and the other hand delivered this week. Keep your eyes posted.

HELLO!! Welcome everyone. We are all here for the month of celebrating two brain surgeries that saved my life. I am so very thankful to be here and so happy to say it's been 15 years! WOO HOO. How amazing is that?!?!!!

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday. I can't believe there's just 11 days left of January and the celebration in February is starting soon. 15 years, WOW, for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, I am excited that we will be celebrating 15 years post brain surgery!
