Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! It's time for the Squigglefly Challenge. This week, the Holley Hobbyists are showing cards for the Flutterby Butterfly challenge.  All you need to do is have a butterfly somewhere on your card, be it in your image or as an embellishment.  Here's my fun card using a new image from artist Lynne Stansbery called Well, Helloooo!  The fun sentiment comes with the image.

Drop by the Challenge blog and join in the fun by adding a butterfly to one of your cards this week.  If you add a Squigglefly image, you will be in the drawing for this week's prize, so join on it!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (MAMBI, DCWV, Neenah); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Image (Squigglefly); Bling (Michaels); Butterfly (Recollections); Adhesives (glue dots, Pop dots, glue all);

Bloom where you are planted

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Here's a fun card that I did this week for the Squigglefly Challenge which is to use Paper Piecing.  To do paper piecing, you can print your digi stamp image onto different printed papers (or plain color papers) and then trim it out to create your card.  In my image, A Basket of Blooms design by Lynne Stansbery, I printed the image twice, once on a light brown patterned paper and once on white paper.  I colored the image on the white paper and trimmed it out, layering my final card.
Hope this card inspires you to give the Squigglefly Challenge a try this week.  Drop by their blog and join in on the contest fun!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, Provocraft, DCWV);  Image (Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Brads (Heidi Grace); Die Cuts (Lifestyles);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers); Saying (JoAnns Vellum);

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  Can you believe we're now in June?  I can't.  Here's a fun card that I made for this week's Squigglefly Challenge.  This week Holley's Hobbyists are creating cards with the challenge "Make me Laugh", so the goal is to take any image and add a little fun to it with a saying, or pick an image that is already funny.  I am using this adorable image from artist Lynne Stansbery called "Pretty Little Piggies."
On the front of my card, Holly Young from Squigglefly gave me the saying, "This little piggy is passion pink, this little piggy is raving red..." and on the inside of my card I put the saying below, "Painting your toenails is how you say "Thank You" to your feet for working so hard"
Now, that's SO true for someone like me, who is known to walk around for at least 10 miles a day and at times has done as much as 20 miles a day!  EVERY DAY.  Though I will confess, I don't spoil my feet by painting my toenails.  Perhaps my feet deserve it though.

Now, drop by the Squigglefly Challenge blog to see the other Hobbyists inspirations and think up your own funny card and play along this week.  If you use a Squigglefly stamp, even one of the freebie stamps, you are eligible to win a prize, go play along.  If you need a funny statement to go with your image, drop me a line (htondre@aol.com) I have access to Holly--humorous sayings master!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, AC Metallic, DCWV, Neenah);  DigiStamp(Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Sayings (Computer Generated, front by Holly Young);  Punch (inside card-Martha Stewart; outside card-EK Success);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Clear Stickers (Recollections); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers);

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday! Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge. Has a kid tell you a knock knock joke lately? Well here's the favorite: Knock Knock; Who's There? Knock, Knock; Who's There? Banana. Banana Who? Knock Knock; Who's There? Knock, Knock; Who's There? Banana. Banana Who?....Knock Knock....this will go on as the child giggles and the adult gets bored....at some point the kid will finally say "Orange", Orange Who? Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?......ha ha ha....then much like any child, the SAME knock knock joke starts over again immediately.

So, this week's Squigglefly challenge is called "Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?" There's three ways to participate: 1) you can either use the color scheme orange and yellow on your card; 2) you can use any PUNNY joke or 3) use any fruit themed image or embellishment on your card.Here's my card this week. You will notice that I completed items #1 and #2 by adding a funny pun and the color scheme. I am using the newest image from artist Lynne Stansbery called Tulip Display. Hop on over to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog and make a fun card for this week's challenge.
