Card Holder

 I can't believe we are on Tuesday already.  Just 70 days now and I am off.  I haven't counted how many school days are actually left, let me do that.....it can't be that many, hmmm I count 28, then there are 2 easter holidays, so 26!  WOO HOO.    Here's a cute card holder that I made at the last convention.  The first pic shows it with a card inside, the second pic is the card holder by itself.

 Hello all it's the last day of the convention today, we will be taking one more fun class today, it's making a great book called "Coffee" with the owner of Scrappy Boy Stamps.  He's just a hoot and so much fun. I had a blast last time I took a class from him.

Hello

 Today we will get up and grab breakfast and then goto the convention early and  I am taking two classes.  One that teaches you to make 18 cards with a 6x6 pad of paper and one that gives you tons of wonderful goodies (that one with  my mom).  I look forward to a nice, hopefully slow day.

Keep Calm and Kitty on!

 Well, time for day 2.  In an elementary school, day one of school is about safety, child management, never losing someone from your class,......  Nothing is ever as serious in our small little bubble with a couple of two year olds, me as the teaching assistant and my teacher.  But having been in this environment as long as I have, I am quite familiar with the stress level of the first week or so until the kids are very familiar with the new routine.

In fairness two-year-olds have a routine too, one that we are getting them to learn again, since they go year round, but do have a break in their routine from the end of July to Aug 14th. However, there's two of us watching the two-year-olds and we spend our entire day in the same room.  it's usually a matter of getting the parents dropping off the kids at the same time and having the school bus arrival time (like they have any control over that), and such all ironed out.  it will take a week or two.

End of Week 4

 Well, I don't know why I call this the end of a week, I guess because my last day will actually be on a Saturday morning.  But this marks week 4.  At some point I am hoping to go to Bursa, which is the original capital of the Ottoman Empire. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  There's a wonderful town nearby that is also a world heritage site with many craftsmen that I would like to see.  I hope to go and take lots of photos.

Gilligan's Isle

 Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe we are half way through April now, can you?  just a month and a half of school (and more importantly a month and a half until Turkiye!!)  I'm sharing a Scrappy Boy stamped card that we did at the convention.  This is a project done during the Thursday night Mega Make and Take.

Chococat!!

Here's a fun card with stamps from Scrappy Boy.  I just love his images.  Esp one that has Chococat!  For those of you who don't know, I am a HUGE fan of Chococat (one of the Hello Kitty characters) and I have a collection of chococat goodies.  I got this great stamp set when I was at the last convention during a class I took taught by Scrappy Boy on coloring, which was fabulous by the way! And no I'm not using those coloring techniques here lol.   Anyway I won the door prize in the class which was any kit in the store so you know I chose this one!!

It also has several of the other Hello Kitty characters in it.  TOO cute.  Check out Scrappy Boy stamps for some goodies.

Ahhh, Coffee

You know I had to get more coffee theme cards in the mix this month.  here's a fun image from Scrappy Boy stamps.  I met this vendor at the last convention I attended in Irving, Texas.  He's super nice and just AMAZING at coloring.  He taught a coloring class on just face and hair colors (PLEASE DON't look at this card as any judgement on him).  But do check out his store with his amazing samples.

Cute sentiment says Coffee makes Everything better!  How perfect is that?  I also added some wonderful turkish lace to this card
