Zombie Love

Welcome April! Can you believe it's already here?  It's time for a brand new contest at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge blog.  Our wonderful Sponsor this month is Nikki Burnette!  I used so many of her amazing images when I worked for Sweet Pea stamps and now her wonderful images are available at her Etsy Website (CLICK HERE).  I am using this awesome image, Zombie Stamp

I am also using this amazing lace that I got in Istanbul last summer, it actually is this:

It was about 10 lira per meter (needless to say I just got a meter because I really couldn't resist)

Hope you will go over to the YSBP Challenge and share your newest creation with us!  You will get a bonus if you use a Nikki Burnette stamp.

Esme

Here's a gorgeous stamp from Nikki Burnette, she a group on Facebook and sells images on Etsy.  I just loved her images and have many stamps from when she sold at Sweet Pea and Queen Kat.  This image is one that she gave away in her Facebook Group. I am running a bit behind in my sharing my creation with it, but it is just a gorgeous image!

If you want to see her stamps, or check out her freebies and play along in her challenges, her facebook group is here.

I've got your love to keep me warm.

Sharing this gorgeous image that I got from Queen Kat stamps today. She's called Minty from artist Nikki Burnette.  What a gorgeous girl!  I just love her outfit. I colored her up in red and white to match the candy cane, but just image if you colored the candy cane in a different color....then you could change up her outfit to match!  It makes me think of those stores I would go into as a kid where you would see ALL these different flavors of candy canes in every color combination.  If only I could dress to match!

I added the perfect sentiment for the DH, "I've got your love to keep me warm."

Project materials:  Cardstock (MAMBI, AC, Neenah, Bazzill); Diecuts (Spellbinders); Stamp (Queen Kat); Ink (Memento); Brands (Recollections, Bazzill); Sentiment (Cosmo Cricket); Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All)

Merry Christmas

Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette called Elena (Plate #73).  This stamp is just stunning.  It's a great image for making a heart warming Christmas card for the one you hold close.  It has incredible detail, but to highlight the sexy lady on the card, I colored in the background images using five different shades of warm grey copic markers.
Here's a close up of the colored image.  I colored the girl in warm colors to go with the warm greys in te background.  Isn't she beautiful? I just love those holly socks.  I would so wear those!

I added one of the vertical sentiment from the Sweet Pea vertical sentiments plate, Holiday Veritcals (Plate #13).  Then I added some gorgeous bling to finish off the card.  This paper is also some of the beautiful Bazzill embossed paper that already has a layer of shimmery decor on it (that's the dark red coloration in the background).  What a perfect Oooo La La card for the Hubby.

Butterfly Kisses from Stella

The card below is a more whimsical treat with a very sexy woman from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette called Stella.  I just love those over the knee socks (or stockings).  Those just look like something I would wear.  I added a wonderful saying to the card "Butterfly Kisses."
Hope these cards make you want to go and create some cards today.  Be sure and check out these artists stamps at the store as well as the wonderful SALE that is happening.  Wish me luck today, I am off to the doc to get a new blood test.  Last time I went my white blood count went down (that's BAD!!).  Hoping for a much better test today.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (DCWV, Paper Temptress Mica, Neenah);  DieCuts (Spellbinders Nestabilites, Corners-);  Stamps (Sweet Pea Stamps);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Butterflies ();  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

It's a Sweet Pea Christmas Hop!

Welcome to the Sweet Pea Christmas theme blog hop! Our fun theme hop this year was to pick a stamp that's not christmas related and turn it into a christmas theme card!

So, I took a wonderful stamp from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette called "Bailey". If you check out the image on the Sweet Pea Website (CLICK HERE), you will see that this image is totally not designed to be christmas theme. But, if you check her out now, she sure looks Christmas-y, huh? I think the blueberry that she is sitting on turns into a pomegranite! Too cute. I hope you will see all kinds of fun ideas from all the great artists on the design team today for taking your Sweet Pea Stamps and turning them into Christmas stamps.

Now, off on the hop, the next blog is Karina's stunning work at the Creawitch blog (CLICK HERE). Be sure to leave comments on each blog as you hop, Sweet Pea is giving away a $20 gift certificate! The winner will be announced on the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog. Have fun on the hop!

Cheers, Holley

Zoe and Adrianna say Happy Halloween!

Here's two wonderful images from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette. This stamp is "Zoe" (Plate #120) and she's stunning. I added a wonderful Happy Halloween sentiment from the Halloween Sheet #1. I colored the image in beautiful copic markers and added some lace from Istanbul, Turkey and some adorable felted crows. Doesn't this put you in the Halloween mood?

As if you are not ready for Halloween yet, here's the amazing image that I spoke of last week, Adrianna from Plate #189. Isn't she beautiful? I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it. It was the first stamp in the package that I had to make a card with. I think she will also be useful for Thanksgiving and given the right coloring, even christmas...when do we all want pumpkin pies? I know I want them all fall and winter season long! YUM.

I added a great saying to the card "When witched go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween." I had to add the perfect little black cat to the card and some tiny black buttons to give it a little highlight. What a fun holiday card!

Meet Constance

Here's a great image from artist Nikki Burnette of Sweet Pea Stamps named Constance (Plate #149). Isn't she a beauty? I just love her expression. I had this wonderful fall color paper that was warm browns on the outside and oranges inside, so I colored her up with gorgeous reds and deep oranges. Then I highlighted the card with some luxurious embroidered paisley that I bought in Turkey. It's a rich orange with luscious brown sequins inside. YUM!I cut the outside edge of the card to match the shape of the paisley and let the inside coloring of the cardstock show. I added a wonderful sentiment "The eyes indicate the antiquity of the soul." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) and used a couple of great flower embellishments from All My Memories to add one extra touch. The die cut used on this card is a new shape that Sizzix is selling. Be sure to check out all of Nikki's stamps (click here). I just love this image, and her new sheet that just came out, OH, I can't WAIT to get my hands on those. That little witch (Adrianna)--you are SO gonna see a card with her soon!!

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Hobby Lobby, DCWV, Basic Grey); Rubber Stamps (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Ribbon (Istanbul, Turkiye); Stickers (All My Memories); Die Cut (Sizzix); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue);

My heart belongs to you

Here's a beautiful image from artist Nikki Burnette named Arden (click here). This stamp is sold individually and on Plate #82. I love the coy look on her face and the mask she carries to hide herself. I think that makes the saying "My heart belongs to only you!" go with this card so well, as this woman would hide herself from others and only look her lover in the eye.
That great saying comes from plate #102. I used some wonderful paper from WeR Memory as the background on this card along with some mesh to give background color. I used some Colorbox chalk to soften the edges and add depth to the whiteness of the papers. Then I added some color matching buttons and ribbon to round out the card with some simple highlights.
Project Materials: Cardstock (WeRMemory Keepers, DCWV, Neenah); Rubber Stamps(Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Buttons (American Traditional); Ribbon (Michaels); Diecut (Spellbinders-Nestabilities); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue all, Ribbon Glue); Color (Copic Markers);
