Coffee anyone?

Here's a CAS card using a little Turkish lace and a stampendous stamp that's coffee theme. It says, "Friends are the cream in my coffee."   How sweet is that?  I feel like this card needs a little something else, but I don't know exactly what.  Ideas?

A little something to perk you up

Here's an adorable Stampendous cat image with the cutest coffee theme.  I just adore this cute cat and added the sentiment," A little something to PERK you up"  How fun is that.  This lace is just just gorgeous. It comes from Turkey.

Speaking of Turkey, lol, I am SO ready to go back to Turkey!!  I'd say I'd go now, but well, it's winter and I don't like winter weather.  I will say that the airlines had a great sale and I got my ticket (using my voucher) and secured my airBNB.  WOO HOO

Did you see all the other blog candy shared? The party starts on Feb 1st.  Check it out HEREHERE and HERE and HERE  SO MUCH GOODIES!!

Whoooooo are we?

Here's a cute set of owls from Stampendous today.  I have always just loved owls and now Owls are the mascot for the school that I work for (Doss Elementary school aka The Doss Owls).  So when I am at School I see owls everywhere.  I suppose now I have more excuses to be buying owl stamps and making owl theme cards!
The staff is back to work this  in just one week.  Ahhh, time to get going. I suppose we are all ready and excited.  I have just 5 days left in Turkiye.  EEEK. Both happy to enjoy this last of the trip but also excited to go home and see the DH

Llama Love

Sharing a funny Llama card for my DH today, it says, I like you a Llama.  The llama stamp comes from Stampendous and the cute saying comes from The Cat's Pajamas.  I hope he likes it.  As you can see from my card title, I named this card, Llama Love.  ha!

Hope my sweetie has a wonderful day today.   I miss you lots and will be home in just a couple weeks!!  Huge hugs

Free Hugs for Everyone

Aren't you just so happy somedays that you want to set up a hugging booth?  Hand out some free hugs to people.  I guarantee you there are people in the world who could really use one.  Here's one of my all time favorites from Stampendous, Fluffles.  He's ready to hug the world.  Too bad I am not there to get one!

Hope you are having a great day.  Reach out and hug those around you.

Wonderland

Here's an awesome stamp that makes me think of Alice in Wonderland.  She's actually a wood mounted stamp, which is unusual for me to purchase nowadays.  I often get unmounted or EZ mounted stamps.  But I saw this one and had to get her.  The clock on her waist....just makes me think of time ticking down which is perfect for the new year.  She's called "Halloween Magic" by Stampendous.
Hope you are all looking forward to the New Year, I know I am.  Be sure to stay tuned for Feb!  There will be the Annual Celebration.  For those of you who haven't been to my blog before, we have a HUGE celebration in Feb to celebrate a wonderful brain surgery that I had back in 2010.  I had 2 successful brain surgeries and this Feb I will hit THREE years with no seizures.  Last time I was at the doctor I asked the nurse how many people make it to three years.  She said, about half.  WOW.  What a blessing.  Also, by the end of Feb, I expect to be almost completely off my first medication.  WOW.  That's a huge deal.  Post brain surgery, you don't even start medication reduction until your one year point.  After that, your first medication reduction is like 1 pill of 1 mediction.  Which is so small, when you take 5 meds a day.  However, it's critical that you do it like this because your body is SO accustomed to the medications.  Always go at the doctor's recommended pace.   Now, Just amazing.

So despite the other medical issues that I may talk about, this side of my medical life is truly blessed and taking less medications is wonderful!!  I know all these meds do effect the body's white blood cell count!  I have read that huge document on "possible side effects", not the 1 sheet the pharmacist hands you, the on-line 5-10 page document about the medication.  Hugs you guys!!  I am ready for 2013 and praying for the best.

Cheers, Holley

Give me all your candy....

Lol, I guess this stamp is meant for Halloween, but I just couldn't resist! I have been eyeing this cutie at the store for a long time and the other week he was on sale and I just had to buy him. Too cute. I think the statement speaks for itself. I mean, why does "Give me all your candy..." have to just be for Halloween?Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, AC, Neenah); Rubber Stamp (Stampendous); Ink (Memento); Ribbon (Target); Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Ribbon Glue, Glue All);

Knit Happens

It's my favorite kitty Fluffles getting all tied up! I guess everyone gets tied up a bit during the holiday season, but Fluffles is literally getting tied up while playing with the yarn. I found a funny saying to go with this cute stamp, "Knit Happens." So have a great weekend and watch out if you start playing with the yarn!Project Materials: Cardstock (California Paper, DCWV, Neenah); Rubber stamps (Fluffles-Stampendous; Saying-Stamping Bella); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Color (Copic Markers); Ribbon (Doodlebug); Adhesives (Popdots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue); Die Cut (Spellbinders-Nestabilities);

Fluffles Ghost

It's one of my favorite cats, Fluffles from Stampendous. Here he is in his Halloween costume. Turns out he's quite a scaredy cat!! Hard to see based on the scanner but the ghost costume he is wearing has actually been colored in a couple of very light shades of grey. This kind of washed out in the photo making it look stark white.
For those of you who haven't been to Sweet Pea's site, she's having a GREAT grab bag sale right now, get 10 stamps for only $20!! That's only $2 each. Less than 1/2 price. See HERE!!

Project Materials: Cardstock(California Paper Goods, Hobby Lobby, Neenah); Rubber Stamp (Fluffles-Stampendous; Scaredy Cat-Sweet Pea); Brads(Halloween-Around the Block); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Adhesive (Pop dots, glue all); Border Punch (Martha Stewart); Color(Copic Markers);

Just a cute couple

Here's an adorable owl couple! I love this cute stamp from Stampendous. It's one of the cling mount (i.e. foam mount that is used with clear blocks) that they now offer. I love stamps that are sold this way. I tend to buy a lot of stamps unmounted nowadays and mount them onto EZ mount and store them in notebooks, so stamps that are already sold on cling mount are a bonus! I always seem to have my notebooks nearby, so they seem to get used more often too.

Sunday Angel

Well, I know the day is almost over, but here's my Sunday Angel card. Running behind today or so it seems. I hope everyone has had a blessed day.

The background card is actually a very dark purple and the angel is resting on a sheer gold color paper. The silver flowers are actually beautiful stickers. Some bling might have gone nice there, but I couldn't find a good dark purple color.
Project materials:
Silver flowers (Around the Block); Stamps (Angel-Stampendous; Sentiment-TAC); Cross (Jolees); Ink (Versafine); Color (Derwent Inktense); Stampin up Blender; 3D pop dots;
