Sweet pea Stamps

Here's  a stamp from Sweet Pea stamps that I got a long time ago, but also this image comes from The East Wind.  I just love their images so much. I was so excited when Sweet Pea stamps made their images into rubber.   I miss Sweet Pea stamps, I worked for them for many many years.

Speaking of, I am selling goodies in several Facebook groups, including a bunch of Sweet Pea stamps, if you are interested, email or check me out on facebook and I can give you a link to the sale pages.  Cheers, Holley

Cute doggy

Here's a super cute doggy from Sweet Pea stamps.  I so miss this wonderful company.  This cutie was designed by Fernanda Orvec (stamp artist) and all her stamp profits went to a charity for dogs.  How sweet was that?  I just love her cute little dog stamps.

Hope you are having a wonderful July, I should be out and about in Turkiye now, I am making a trip called the 7 Churches of Revelations, where I am visiting the churches in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. (or the remains of these churches, they are all in Turkiye, which was formerly Rome at the time).

Notepad Holder

Here's a quick and cute little project I did with a Sweet Pea stamps and some great Paper Temptress Papers.  I do so miss Sweet Pea stamps, but having worked with them for several years, I have a wonderful collection of their amazing rubber!  Also, let me tell you that Paper Temptress is getting ready to close down and start putting papers on sale, so go get what you want!!  It's going, going, gone.....so go grab those papers you need before they are unavailable.

This cute project is using some gorgeous Mica/Metallic as the card base, it's called Flame.  The image is printed on Neenah Solar white classic crest.  The image is layered on a beautiful yellow which matches the dress perfectly called and has a wonderful mica sparkle is called Mangue Sparkle.  I added a wonderful Hambly Studio Overlay on top of the while project called Lime Mini Graphs.

So what is this project, you ask?  it's a fold around for a note pad!, you can see the cute hole/ribbon (that's also available at Paper Temptress it's HERE);  It hides a wonderful notepad.

99% angel

Here's an awesome image from Sweet Pea stamps. I so miss this company. I am thankful to have worked for them for many years so I have lots of rubber and digi stamps of their goodies.  This cutie has such a fun attitude.  I also did her up as a Christmas theme card, but I thought she would also work as a general theme stamp

I hope you are all having a great week.  Better start all getting ready for Thanksgiving as it is approaching so very quickly!

Sweet Pea stamps, oh how I miss them!

Here's an adorable image from Sweet Pea stamps!  I do so miss this company so much.  They always had the most wonderful images from several great artists.  This image is no exception. I love her.  I added a sentiment "I think you are so beautiful" because she just looks like she needs a little cheer.

I hope everyone is having a great week, next week should hopefully be something special for everyone! If I am right, I will be starting up at my new job (well, I was always a substitute for the school district, but now I should be full time!)

Cheers, Holley

Candy Time is coming!

Are you ready for some goodies?  I must confess that I am way less organized this year than I have been in years past. As I am sure many of you following the blog may know I have been looking for work, yes, the dreaded W word!  Work outside of crafting to pay for the darn insurance bills.  Crazy how now that I have my health back my insurance is 9000 a year, huh?

But, I am NOT complaining, believe me, I would rather be this healthy paying for insurance than sick as I was going to the doctors all the time.  This celebration is about HEALTH and Happiness and of course mainly about CRAFTS!!!  WOO HOO!!
Here's a cutie stamp from Sweet Pea stamps
so I don't have any organized photos, but I thought y'all would either be delighted or horrified to see the state of "prize table" which has now overflowed to an area next to my desk as well as the floor below it, lol!!

This is the 6x3" table (like a regular sized lunch table at the schools) covered in stuff, as you can see, the stacks got a little out of hand, I need to go back through everthing and organize it.

This whole tube is full of rubber stamps and stamp sets, mostly sets as I have a separate smaller tub that contains rubber only stamps

One box of embossing folders and die cutters

Some die cutters that were off sitting on a separate table

When I get more time I will post more photos and get around to organizing a little better!!

Angel Ornament

Here's a tree ornament I made in memory of our cat, Machi. I couldn't really color it much like her since she was a very dark cat, it would be like coloring the whole thing black, but I think of angels as very light and airy looking, so I colored her like this.    This image comes from Karen Middleton.

Dear Santa...

Here's a fun card using a stamp from Sweet Pea stamps. I was so sad when they closed up shop and so glad that I got many of their wonderful images when I did.  It was a pleasure working with them as long as I got to.  Here's a cute little girl stamp, but she really looks like she has some Sass to her so I added this cute note to Santa.  "Dear Santa, Please grant my Christmas wish. I'm not bad. Mom says I'm just behaviorally-challenged. XOXO"  HA!

Hope you have a great few days as the holiday approaches.  Many Blessings.

Box Project

So I have been super busy for the last several weeks making things for my church's Bazaar, but I wanted to share this fun project that I did a while ago for a family member.  I made her a cute little box using a wonderful stamp from Sweet Pea stamps, which has since close :(

Here's some photos of the finished box

she just loves elephants, so I put a stuffed elephant inside along with some bath items.

Here's the plain box that I got at the Dollar store, so strong and sturdy and EASY to make a great gift from them.

It's a Love Pug

Here's a darling little pug stamp, I call him the Love Pug.  TOO cute. This image was made by Sweet Pea stamps before it closed down.  This is a stand up card, here's the card opened up.

Here's a close up of this darling image:

Here's the card folded up, as it would be in the envelope, it fits into a standard A2 sized envie.  How cute is that?

One day at a time

Here's a classic from Sweet Pea stamps that is now retired. This image comes from artist Charmaine Flannery.  I added a great sentiment "I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once."  I thought that sentiment was just perfect with this image and with me as well!

Here's a close up of the image that I colored.
I don't know if there is anywhere that you can still find these stamps, but I do see that she still sells her original artworks on Etsy. (click here if interested).

In memory of Orlando

So many tragedies have recently happened in Orlando including many precious lives being taken at a nightclub, a singer being killed by a deranged fan and a young child being killed by an alligator.  Such sadness and tragic deaths that none of them deserved.    Hugs and prayers to all those affected and wishes for peace and reason in a time of anxiety and chaos.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?

Here's a fun set of magnets that I made for my church's local bazaar this year using some fun stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps.  It was a quick and cute little project and is a sweet little gift that you can make to give to someone nearby.  This sweet pea stamp set called Little Red Riding Hood is from Ching Chou Kuik and is only available until the 25th so be sure and drop by the store before they close. It's currently $10 and includes all four images and the sentiments!!

Here's the tin when closed....
