Day two at the convention

 So today the convention itself actually gets started.  It will open in the morning, I have two classes and some hours to shop.  Should be a blast.  I am sure I will be exhausted.  What fun!  I am taking a birthday card making class with Rubber Necker.  I enjoyed their classes last year and another class that will be a fun giveaway class filled with tons of wonderful supplies.

As you guessed by now, it's all love theme this week.  Woo Hoo. Here's a cutie from Notturno Digi arts.  I love this artist's whimsical images.  She has the cutest girls, great animals, and fun things like skulls too.  Check out her stuff if you like (HERE).  I am using some interesting (at least I think it is) lace on this card today.

 

Question of the day: do you use wood block stamps?  sometimes never?  only if it's your absolute favorite topic?

I must confess I will still occasionally buy a wood mounted stamp if it's an image I really really want!

Last day of work before school starts.

 

Well, when next week comes we'll have the kids at our new school.  Are we ready?  Yep.  As ready as we are going to be.  WOW.  A new adventure begins at Brentwood elementary school.  I should say the NEWLY Built Brentwood elementary school.  Let's get a coffee and hug each other once.

Here's a super cute image from Noturrno Digital stamps on Etsy.  With the end of what has been a long and extremely stressful school year coming to an end we are all sad because so many teachers will be leaving us.  SIGH.  I know it's not just my school, but the teachers at my school are so very talented and the school system in Texas is running them off.

Here's a great skull card using an image from Notturno Digital Arts on Etsy.  Check out all her great sets.  I just love the little girl sets, the cute animals, and esp the holiday theme sets like this skull kit.  I added some fun turkish lace to this card and a simple sticker as the sentiment.

Sunflowers

Here's the cutest image from Notturno Digital Arts. I just love these cute little girl images that she sells in sets.  Aren't they precious?  I added some great sunflowers.  There's huge fields of sunflowers all over Turkiye.  I of course had to add some great Turkish lace to this card....

Sharing this card today for my DH because I am so going to miss him!  I love you lots sweetie.  I hope you have a nice relaxing summer as well.  I know that he misses me, but I also know that he enjoys the quiet house to himself.  Usually around week 4 to week 6 he's like, I'm ready for you to come home now.  That's how I know it's time to come home.  And truthfully, by that time, I am ready to go home.

I know one thing I hope to be doing BEFORE I go on this trip and that is SLEEPING.  I always try to sleep on my flight to Istanbul but I don't know if I am too excited too paranoid about snoring or too uncomfortable in those tiny seats but either way I can never fall asleep.  And it's like 12 hours on the plane from the time you are seated until you unboard.  UGH.  I also pretty much NEVER get up to go to the bathroom which means I don't eat or drink either.

Let's hope this next flight goes better and I get some sleep or something.  I will just be happy with some WIFI.  Please, just a little wifi so I can listen to music or something.  Well now I have spotify offline, so I can have music but I would love a little internet!  PLEASE,  off i go!

Crazy in Love

I thought this image was just TOO cute.  It would be perfect for valentines or any other love occasion like today.  I added a sticker sentiment, "Crazy in love" for it along with some gorgeous Turkish lace.

OK, so back to learning to count in Turkish, we were doing numbers, one-bir; two- iki, three - uc (uch) and today is four- dort......ten - on;  thanks for learning along with me, lol

Here's a great card for the sentiment of last month and the start to this month, "You make my heart smile."  I hope you have all had a wonderful time celebrating with me and now are ready to hear the grand prize winners and I will be working on the packages to get mailing done as soon as possible!  Please be patient with me, I work now, so I don't have all day to be doing package work,  It's mainly on the weekends.

Swimming Enthusiast

I hope you are also soaking up the sun in that last little bit of summertime before school comes back.  Live it up.  I am down to my last three days (well two days as the 7th I am flying back), but I spent zero time swimming which I know is many people's favorite.

I can't believe we are this far along in the summer time now. I am getting ready for the next school year.  Last year I changed jobs and went from one school to another.  At the time the new school was not too much further away, maybe double the walk, but not my school's permanent location is about 4 times the walk (of my 1st school).  WHEW, I will be getting some major excersize now and in the Texas summer heat, before I left for Turkiye, in JUNE, we had days measuring 107F, I hate to know what we are measuring in August.
