Taking down the tree

Here's a darling image from artist Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes Doodles and Designs on Etsy. This fun image is called Spring Tree.  It's a special stamp that was a free give away for those who played in Sandra Caldwell's first progressive challenge on her Facebook page (in addition to the freebie you got when we reached round 3)!!  Woo Hoo.  I am using all beautiful papers from paper Temptress for this card.  I thought this tree was just perfect for that image of taking down your tree and getting ready for the new year fun!

The base of the card is a lovely dark red cardstock called Cherry.  The shimmery green is a Mica/Metallic called Emerald.  The blue paper which I cut out a snowflake border as well as snowflake die cuts is a crepe (ruche) called Sky Blue.  The image was printed out on Neenah Solar white classic crest.  This paper works perfectly for digi stamps that you are printing with your computer and coloring with copic markers.

Have a great New Year's Eve!

This card was done for the Monday Greetings Challenge over at Outlawz.  The theme is anything goes and all you need to do is make sure your card has a greeting on the front!  We can't wait to see what you share with us.

Holly Jolly Christmas

Here's a cute little owl that I used to make this fun Christmas card.  This wonderful image was a freebie and I do recognize the work, but I can't pin the name of the artist, so if you know whose image this is, please leave a comment so I can put the artist's name.

Just Five days until Christmas.  I can hardly believe that as most of the last couple of weeks have been in the mid to upper 70s here and it really just hasn't been like Christmas.  That being said, I have really LOVED the winter, winter in the 70s is a winter I want.

Cheers everyone, Holley

Christmas Wishes

Here's another fun Fluffles card, I do so miss these stamps, I didn't realize that stampendous had stopped making them until I started doing a little search for them and found some on Ebay for about $50! Are you kidding?  I love Fluffles, but thankfully have most of the fluffles collection, well, most of the ones that I really wanted.  Guess if I ever see one I want at regular retail price, then I should pick it up.
Hope you are all filled with Christmas wishes and cookies today!

Jingle Bells

Is anyone else hearing bells everywhere?  this deer looks like he's hearing them everywhere!  This fun image is from artist Sandra Caldwell and is called Springhead Reindeer.  I am using gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress for this card.  Can you see the sparkle in all these papers, even the black looking paper has a glorious golden sheen on it!
The base cardstock for this card is called Incandescent Nero.  So beautiful!    The Christmas Bells are cut with Mica/Metallic called Coral.  The red paper is a beautiful sparkle with golden flecks called Vermillion Sparkle.  The image was printed out on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.  Everything on this card just has a wonderful sparkle about it; it really makes the image pop out even though the card is perfectly flat and therefore easy to mail.

Hope you loved this fun Christmas card today.

Real Pressed Flowers

Here's some awesome pressed flowers.  I have a friend at church who over her life would just put flowers and leaves into various books and has been giving them to me now.  I have been using them to create these cards, which I usually donate back to the church so they can sell them at the annual Bazaar to raise money for the charity that year.

Christmas Project and a guest card from Mary K

Here's one of the fun projects that I made for the church Bazaar this year. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it sold. I had made something like 150+ of these. Some I put into sets ranging from 3-6 magnets and some of the fancier ones I put as individuals that people could by.  We sold almost all of them!  WOW

Here's a lovely card I received in the mail from artist Mary Kirchherr.  What a lovely vintage theme card with beautiful embossing on it.  Thanks so much Mary and thanks so much for the stamps as they will go to good use when the blog candy month comes!

Check out the current contest, it's at the SLS Lines Challenge blog is fall theme and will run through the 12th when the new challenge will begin.

It's autumn time

Here's the cutest little scarecrow from CC Designs.  I just had to get this stamp and make a quick fall card using some fun cardstock stickers from BoBunny.  It's starting to feel like fall around us now, but to most Texans, we really don't know what fall is, so it's either warm or cold.  Things like the 40s& 50s which I suppose are fall, are actually just cold to us.  And during winter months, that's often the average temperature.

Have a wonderful week and I hope you are avoiding the crazy crowds if you are out shopping for the holidays.

Cheers, Holley

Happy Fall Y'all

He's just a hoot!  Here's a fun image from Sweet Pea stamp artist Sandra Caldwell. This fun guy is called Hoots a Gentleman.  How fun is that?!?  He's just too cute and make's a great fall theme card. Below I added some great ribbon that's metal with woven fiber and eyelets.  I picked up a couple colors of that while in Istanbul many years ago.

Here's a close up of the image that I colored using Copic markers.  Be sure and check out all Sandra's images at Sweet Pea, but please hurry, as Sweet Pea will be closing soon!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving

Here's a great image from Ike's Art called Autumn Nymph.  I combined her with some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress and some beautiful wire leaves.  I thought this would be a lovely fall theme card.  We haven't really had the leaves fall here yet, I am expecting our first freeze of the year will take care of that.  Of course, that could be a week away or two months away. You never know in South Texas.

The gorgeous papers here all from Paper Temptress.  The base is a dark brown cardstock Pop Tones Hot Fudge.  The shimmery cardstock in the center is a beautiful Mica/Metallic cardstock called Copper.  The torn cardstock on the right hand side is Brawny Tuscan Sun.  The image has been printed on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.  This cardstock runs through my printer with ease and is a great cardstock for coloring with copics.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving today!

Cheers, Holley
