Sending Love to Paris

Here's a stunning image from artist Sandra Caldwell today.  She did this image right after the Paris bombing in support of all the people there.  Drop by and check out our Facebook group to see a whole grouping of cards made with this image for the final part of our group challenge (click here).
This image is called Paris Crying and is available at Sandra's Etsy Store.
Hope you have a great week as the last weekend before Christmas comes, let us all relax and have a beautiful holiday.

Penny Black in Paris

Here's an adorable image from Penny Black from her Mimi stamps in Paris theme. While visiting family this Christmas in Iowa I learned that one of my nieces just loves Paris. I had given her a set of stickers and a little book that she could decorate.  She made me a darling little handmade card.  When I got home I cut her a bunch of Eiffel tower die cuts and gathered some assorted Paris theme items to send, along with this card.  Also while we were crafting together I was able to show her my sister and her husband who happened to be celebrating Christmas in Paris that year.

Be sure and leave a comment today for the blog candy drawing.  If you haven't been commented each day, go back starting on Feb 1st and leave comments on the other days this month as the drawings haven't happened yet....and you have until this evening before new drawings happen!!

So, have you ever been to Paris?  I have not. The only place that I have traveled to is Istanbul. It was wonderful, I highly recommend it and I would go back there again, any time that I could.  I would love to hear where you guys have gotten to travel.

Happy Birthday John!

Sharing this Birthday Card today that I made for my DH.  I hope he likes it.  This stamp comes from Queen Kat (who has now closed down).  The beautiful orange sentiment is just perfect and is from Adorn It.  The Happy Bday flags are some that I got from LaLa Land.

I am making him cookies this year instead of cake. I knew that is what he would prefer.  Hope you all have a wonderful day today too!

Cheers, Holley

La La Land's Rosie has a Blog Candy question....

Here's an adorable stamp from a company that I like called La La Land. How can you not love them just because of their name? This cutie is named Rosie. I colored her up in reds for spring, which it is looking more and more like here in TX. I am really loving the weather lately and enjoying it everyday. So, have you already signed up for blog candy on the 14th? if so, are you ready for some more????OK...this contest will go through the week, its for die cut prizes, I have brand new dies from several companies (sizzix, quickkutz, cuttlebug,.....);

For this contest, the questions that you must answer are
1)what type of machines do you have for die cutting? (For example, I have a sizzix mini size, a old style red sizzix, MM Slice, and a ProvoCraft Cricut) --you can also include machines that you have easy access too--i know many share machines with their family and at local stores;
2)which is your favorite of them? (For example--I have really been using the old sizzix the most as I am in love with the Nestabilities!! then I get on a kick and use my Cricut)
Contest will go through to Friday the 25th with winners announced on Saturday!!
3)have a free second, how about voting for your favorite card last week (see the vote in the right hand column), just pick your favorite card in the list.
This contest will end on Saturday, will announce winners on Saturday afternoon.
Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, California Paper Products, Neenah); Stamps (La La Land); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Die Cut (Spellbinders-Nestabilities); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);
OK, the winners have been picked!! See the list posted on the main blog candy winner's list:

Just another day in La La Land

Here's Rosie taking a break as the cat sits down on her lap. I know all of you who have a cat must know that when a cat does this, it's like a heat sink that takes the energy right out of you. There's nothing like a cat snuggled up on your lap that seems to put you right to sleep. Definitely the case for my DH. Picked some fall colors for this card. I bet my cat is ready for a nap, she's probably looking for a lap right now....
Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, DCWV, Neenah); Rubber Stamp (La-La Land Crafts); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Buttons (Jesse James); Border (K & Co.); Die Cut (Spellbinders-Nestabilities); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers);

Hello Princess

Here's a little Princess card I made with one of my stamps from La La Land Stamps. These girls are super sweet! This stamp makes me think of my niece Regina. She just had her birthday and got many sweet princess dresses. She would look so cute in them and I would have to tell her "I simply adore you!!"
Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, AC, Neenah); Stamp(La La Land Crafts; Background stamp-unknown); Saying (Bo Bunny); Ink (Memento); Corner Punch (All Night Media); Oval Cutter (Nestabilities); Adhesive (Glue All, Pop Dots); Color (Copic Markers);

La La Land.....

Here's another girl in La La Land. Looks like the cat is there too. I know my cat seems to like nothing better than curling up on someone's lap (mostly John's) and taking a cat nap. She most definitely thinks of us as her staff and not her owners too.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, DCWV); Stamps(Girl-La La Land; Saying-Cat's Pajamas); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Adhesives (Glue All, Pop Dots); Color (Copic Markers); Die Cut (Nestabilities);

La La Land.....

Here's another card from La La Land. She's so cute and has her bunny with her. I suppose this card would have gone well for Easter too. I decided to make this card for Mother's Day. I think it is hard to tell with the scan, but the bunny was lightly colored in with a grey color and pink nose. The brad has cute text on it that says Love U.
Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, DCWV, Neenah); Stamps (La La Land, Your Next Stamp); Ink (Memento); Color (Copic Markers); Punches(All Night Media, EK Success); Adhesives(Glue All, Pop Dots); Brads (Around the Block);
