Grumpy Bear

 Happy Friday everyone!  It's the last day of March and a day before April Fool's Day.  Now when I went to school we did all kinds of silly things on that day.  I don't think such things happen anymore (in school, at least not the school I go to).  Is that good or bad?

Here's an adorable card using stamp and sentiment from Taylored Expressions Grumplings. I just LOVE that stamp assortment and all the fun sayings that come with it.  I am also using some beautiful flowers including some floral lace.

Bunny Wishes

 I can't believe we are at the end of March!  It's less than 60days to Istanbul now.  WOW.  do i sound like I am excited yet?  lol, luckily you haven't been listening to me count-down every single day since well over 100, my husband and friends have MUCH patience.

With Easter approaching I thought I would share this wonderful bunny theme card with image and sentiment from Unity stamps as well as some great Turkish lace!

For my Mom and God Mom

 Here's a Mom card for my Mom and God-Mom whom I just went on a lovely trip to Irving Texas. We all had a lot of fun. I made this sweet card using a kit from Paper Source with their gorgeous handmade papers. I hope you love it.

 Continuing on with some wonderful creations from my friend's elementary school class in Turkiye, here's more of their fun creations that many graciously gave to me.  Mind you I didn't ask them for their work back. I bought these scratch and draw papers so they could make their own projects as a memory of the day. I was surprised how many of them gave me their work.  How sweet is that?

Butterfly love

 Here's a beautiful Unity Stamp of a butterfly along with some stunning Turkish lace to go with it.  I hope this bright and beautiful card makes you smile.  It should be spring time everywhere now, though at moments in TX it feels a little hotter than spring, lol

 Is it nap time yet?  well, I must confess on Friday's naps are like my favorite thing to do!  Then I get up and start playing, ok working by cutting up lace for the weekend.  I love this cutie from Pink & Main.  What a darling little doggie.   I finished off this card with some great confetti bones and Turkish lace!

Pick of the Patch

I'm excited today because we have a new student coming to my class.  I moved from DHH 3rd to 5th down to DHH 2 year olds.  It's a wonderful place and the kids start as soon as they turn two, no matter the time of the year that it is.  We are super excited to get a new child this week.

 well, spring break is now over. I am so thankful to John for paying for a hotel for us in Irving.  What a wonderful gift he gave for us to all be together for several days.  Huge hugs and kisses.  Here's a little thank you card for him.  Crazy about you dear!!

Here's some more wonderful work's from the kid's in Dilek's class in Turkiye.  If you see the image on the upper right, it's a duplicate of an image by Sherri Baldy.  This kid received a handmade card from me the year before with a wonderful Sherri Baldy image on it.  Now, she draws me cards and other things that show that beautiful image.  Sherri would be proud.  It says, "I love you teacher" and my name (they spell it) Holi everywhere.

Day two at the convention

 So today the convention itself actually gets started.  It will open in the morning, I have two classes and some hours to shop.  Should be a blast.  I am sure I will be exhausted.  What fun!  I am taking a birthday card making class with Rubber Necker.  I enjoyed their classes last year and another class that will be a fun giveaway class filled with tons of wonderful supplies.

Day one of the convention

 It's Day one of the convention.  We flew out last night and have this morning to get ready to go.  We can go an hour early to get our tickets and then find a table in the place to sit down. Should be lots of fun.  I can't wait to share with your all my creations.

Best Friends Furever

 Well off to the convention in Irving today.  My mother, godmother and I have been looking forward to this for quite a while. I am taking two classes, one for making fancy birthday cards and one for new product reveal.  Should be lots of fun.  I am also doing the thursday evening Make and Take!  WOO HOO. we will start around 3pm and be making card and creations all evening long.  How fun is that?  if you haven't seen this event, you can check it out at Scrapbook Expo.

Chococat!!

Here's a fun card with stamps from Scrappy Boy.  I just love his images.  Esp one that has Chococat!  For those of you who don't know, I am a HUGE fan of Chococat (one of the Hello Kitty characters) and I have a collection of chococat goodies.  I got this great stamp set when I was at the last convention during a class I took taught by Scrappy Boy on coloring, which was fabulous by the way! And no I'm not using those coloring techniques here lol.   Anyway I won the door prize in the class which was any kit in the store so you know I chose this one!!

It also has several of the other Hello Kitty characters in it.  TOO cute.  Check out Scrappy Boy stamps for some goodies.

For Mom

 Happy Monday of Spring Break!! Woo Hoo.  I am so thankful to have this time off.  Especially because I have plans this year to travel with my mother to the annual Scrapbook Expo in Irving Texas.  We went last year (it was in October) and it was such a blast!!  I hope this spring it will be as much fun!

Guest Designer

 So I took some cute gifts to the kids in Turkiye because I knew I would be visiting their class.  One thing was called slap bracelets in USA theme.  Perhaps you have seen these, they look like flat pieces of paper then you slap them on your wrist and they wrap around them.    The next thing we got was those cute little squishy animals that the kids just loved.  The last thing was an art project for all of us to do together.  Here's several of the kids works:

Gorgeous papers

Here's some stunning paper from Paper Source. I created this card "Heart of Gold" for my mom for the upcoming convention we are going to next week during spring break. I am so excited to go. I hope she is too. We are actually flying on a semi-private jet, which I have never done before. It's called JSX and it flies dallas to autin and back daily as well as serveral other locations.  I hope it's as good as it is touted.

Llama love

 I wonder if people are starting to get their packages yet?  I am guessing by this evening a few people will.  Usually shipping from Austin usually takes two days, though to rural areas maybe three or four.  PLEASE PLEASE tell me if you don't get your packages ever.  Give the post office time, but eventually and sadly things do get lost in the mail.  Boo!

Thought I would go back and share another Valentine that I didn't get to in February, this one is a cute Llama theme that i decorated the heart using a gel pen.

Coffee time Monday

 Happy Monday everyone.  I thought we could all use a little coffee theme card today.  I know that's one of my favorite topics.  I feel like I had such a busy weekend that I didn't get a break and now i t's back to work!  Well, fortunately, we are just five days to SPRING BREAK.  You know I used to think only kids looked forward to such things (back when I was a kid).  Now I realize that teachers probably look forward to such things even more than the kids!

This cutie comes from Cat's Pajamas.  I love this funny cat holding a fish bone.  It says, "NO Coffee NO Talkee"  HA!  Wish I could tell the kids at my school that.  Too funny.

Thought this card was funny and maybe a little appropriate today it says, "Sending you a little hog.  Just pig-cause"  Ha!  I would always consider a package of crafts a HUG indeed!
