The Serene Night

I love this beautiful stamp called The Serene Night from Plate #24 of Sweet Pea Stamps. I stamped and colored in the image and then cut out a scalloped oval using Nestabilities. I layered the image on beautiful layered papers one that is embossed metallic and one that is bright sheer white color. The main card stock for this card is a light pink Bazzil paper
I used metallic pink cutoffs to highlight the corners of the card and low level pop dots to raise each level of the card. The shiny level of the metallic paper really makes the image stand out without adding further amounts of embellishment. The image was colored using Copic Markers.

Nostalgia

These beautiful stamps come from ching-chou kuik's fantasy art plate #30. I love the wispy look of this woman and I cut the image of the lady out of the main stamp to highlight her, as well as the background circle. I raised the image and mounted it on a dark black background.

I used several colors of Copic markers to color the image and Colorbox Chalk ink to add color around the text image after it was stamped. Flowers from Prima were added to the card along with brads from Basic Grey. I love the use of Yellow and Green in the springtime.

Spring Flowers

Here's a pretty flower girl from Whipper Snapper. I am not sure if she's just really tiny or if this is the biggest flower ever. At any rate, I love the flowers that are now coming out all over the area. As the rain is appearing, most of the pollen that has been bothering me is going away and the ground is blooming with beautiful flowers everywhere. This week is my 2nd doctor appt following the surgery. Sunday Angel Card

Hello! Here's a Sunday Angel card for you. I am using one of my favorites, this is a stamp made by Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girls. I am using a new sentiment stamp that I bought from Whipper Snapper "God's answers are Wiser than our prayers". I like that saying and try to remind myself that I don't always know what should be coming and I should be thankful for what I have and what I receive because I don't know what my future will hold.

So when I go to sleep at night, I try to pray thanks for what I received that day and pray for what I receive the coming day. Have a great week!

Getting ready for....Mom's Day

As Mother's Day is coming, I decided to pull out a stamp to make a mother's day card. I love this image of a mom and a little girl sitting down in a meadow (or on my card it would be sitting off near the beach) reading with a pile of books. The stamp is called "mother and child". I colored the image with copic markers and used Nestabilities to cut the image. I added one of the Inspirational sayings from sheet #3 to the card. I also added some special bling just for my mom, whose favorite colors are pink and who loves the jewels.

Don't forget to check the I Brake For stamps website and use the coupon code "SAVE10HOLLEY" for 10% off!

Dare to be DiIfferent

Happy April Fool's Day!! "Dare to be Different!" I love this saying. I think that stamp is great and when I saw this giraffe stamp I just had to put these images together! What a cute Easter card. Some cards just need to make you smile :)I used bright spring colors to make the card along with copic makers to color in the image. This stamp and saying a great keepers and will make both funny cards and at the same time I will make more serious cards for people that will inside reflect sayings congratulating them for being successful, "thinking out of the box", doing well even though they were different than everyone else. I can think of several great situations for cards like this! Guess I must be different, lol!!
Have a wonderful April 1st!!
