Mini Calendars

So one thing I made both for the Church Bazaar as well as to handout to the member's of my congregation this New year was cute little mini calendars with magnets on the back so they can put them on their fridge. I made about 50 of these.

Baby Shower!

Here's the card I made for my Brother and his wife for their baby shower today.  I had previously sent them a little gift, but today they are having a formal shower, so I wanted to make a handmade card and get it in the mail to them.  I made this sweet little shaker card that says "Celebrate Life's Little Miracles" with lots of fun baby theme confetti in it.

Wishing them the best as the end of the pregnancy draws near and it comes time for the baby girl to arrive!

Cheers, Holley

Time to start the celebration!!

Can you believe it?  February is here!  Not just Feb, Feb 2015! That now makes it 5 years.  5 years ago I was so sick that I couldn't do so many basic things in life and was in total denial about my health even though deep down I knew my only chance to get better would be surgery. So I am very much one of the lucky ones who not only qualified for surgery, but also one whose surgery resulted in completely stopping my seizures so far.

I celebrate each year I am given now, and most especially by giving back to all my crafty friends, both new and old as they were my best supporters, my wonderful friends, my lovely prayer team, and what often kept me going!!  I am so thankful for that.
This fun card is made for you all my friends.  There's a wonderful ANYTHING GOES contest over at Your Scrapbook Place, it starts today!  So join in over there.

OK, down to the nitty gritty details!  For those of you who are new, I will have blog candy all month long, I usually announce winners about a week or so after (i.e. around the 7th or 8th the main winner list will get started, then updated everyday).  I don't mail out the prizes until the end of the month as I anticipate that many winners will have multiple prizes.  So, it's a good idea to play everyday!! And at the end of the month I have a lot of big prizes that will go out (die cut sets, larger stamp sets, big gift certificates....) so lots of winners will get additional prizes.

ALL countries are welcome to play however, please understand if you are overseas that I have to limit what I can send to either flat items like rubber or stamp sets or digital stamps.  I am happy to share worldwide but postage is crazy, lol!!  So digi prizes are a great way to celebrate!

Everyday I often ask some fun question or like to send you to a website and have you check things out...there can often be a method to my madness, sometimes I am curious to learn about you or see what you like, who knows?  I might have a special prize just for you!  One year I had a lady tell me she loved giraffes.  Well guess what I had...so, if you answer the questions, you are more apt to get a prize that you LOVE as opposed to something more random.

THIS posting is the MAIN prize listing and will have winners picked off of it all month long, so be sure to add your comment here, even if it's late in the month. I will always be coming back to this posting to pick winners for some extra items.

Now, lets make a PRIZE announcement! WOOHOO, what a way to start huh?  we had two pre-game prizes, one was for people who shared on my Facebook, we had almost 100 people do so, the winners are:  Leadonna Quick Kimmel, Linda Lechnir Chidster

Second was the people who left a Birthday message on my blog Thursday for Sweet Pea stamps Owner Lynette:  VIRGINIA MONTANGA

OK, here we go....leave your comments, once a day!

Did you miss the blog candy photos?  here they are CLICK HERE

I would pick you everytime!

Happy Monday everyone!  As I am sure you know, it's time for the Squigglefly Challenge.  I am very sad to say though, this will be the last Squigglefly Challenge.  The owners of the store have decided to pursue other endeavors (like their beautiful new kids/grandkids) so I wish them the very best and want to have a wonderful last challenge for them.  The challenge this week is called "Put a little Love in your Heart."  Your card must have EITHER the word LOVE or a Heart.  It doesn't have to be valentine theme, but it can be.  As you can see, my card does have both, a cute heart in the image, a button shared heart in black with little white polka dots and a stitched sentiment with the words "love-ya."

This wonderful image is called He Loves Me from artist Sandra Caldwell.  Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge Blog and check out what the other Holley Hobbyists created for this challenge and join in on our last challenge!  There will still be a prize given away by the store, three images that are preselected by the store owner.  Good luck!

Cheers, Holley

Squigglefly Challenge

Here's a card that I made for Squigglefly's first contest this year.  First let me announce that they have a new team leader, Carolyn, who has taken over the other half of the Squigglefly group, the Carolyn Crafters.  The Holley Hobbyists have had a couple changes, with two new members joining us, Shell Becker and Shirley Quarry.

Here's the card that I made for the current contest, include glitter on your project. I chose to use some stickles and highlighted the letters in the LOVE cardstock stickers on the side.  This fun image is from artist Sal Schiebe and is called Heart Crusher.  Deliciously wicked, huh?  I had to add a combination of "LOVE" on one side and "1 is the Loneliest Number" on the other side.

Check out all the great creations from Carolyn's team on our Challenge Blog and then join in the fun by sharing a card with us! If so, you could win a great prize from Squigglefly.

Guest Designers

Sharing a couple of creations that were sent to me recently.  The first card was sent to me for my birthday via a Yahoogroup that I am a member of.  They know I just love yellow, so I can tell they chose this card just for me. It didn't have anyone's name on it, so I am unsure who created it, but with the yellow and the ribbon/button, definitely just what I would like!

Then I got this adorable Christmas Postcard which I am showing both sides of here from artist Linda Weber.  Doesn't she make the cutest stuff?

This adorable stamp she is using here is sold over on the Squigglefly website, Reindeer Postage.

Happy Cyber Monday everyone!  It's time for this week's Squigglefly Challenge!   What's more perfect on Cyber Monday than getting some digi stamps?  The challenge this week called Skip to my lou.....the challenge is to create a card but SKIP the colors Red and Green.  That might be a challenge this time of year.  Your card can be holiday themed (without the red or green), but doesn't have to be.  As you can see here, I created a Happy New Year theme card using a new image called Short Resolutions.  I am also using a fun frame from artist Charlene Mitchell called Half Moon Border Set.  It comes with the frame shown, but three additional frames.

Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge blog to see what the Holley Hobbyists have created this week and then join in on the fun!  We'd love to see what you made, share anything, but to win, use something from Squigglefly, even a freebie, and don't forget, no red or green.

Season's Greetings everyone!  It's Monday so you know what that means, yep, it's time for the Squigglefly Challenge. This week the challenge is to create a Square card.  That's it, just a square card.  Here's my creation using a brand new image from artist Sal Schiebe called Gothic Christmas.  You know this is one I would love!  I colored everything in warm greys and then did the girl in color.

Don't you love her skull clip and the kitty's skull tag?  That's a little Season's Greetings for you.  Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge Blog and check out what the other Holley Hobbyists made.  You can play along by sharing your square card, it doesn't need to be Christmas theme.  If you use a Squigglefly stamp, even a freebie, you are entered in the drawing for this week's prize.  Good luck!

Have a Zombie Christmas

Here's a funny, hmm, maybe some people won't find it funny....but I know how popular the Walking Dead is right now.  Not just that, but probably a dozen other zombie theme movies and shows.  This week over at Squigglefly the theme is Christmas, but choose some none Christmas colors.  Well, you know I can go totally out of the box on a topic like that....Here's a zombie Christmas image from one of Squigglefly's newest artist Sal Schiebe called Christmas Zombie Head.

I am guessing no one else when quite so far out on their version of non traditional Christmas colors, but I suppose we will see.  I'd love to see what you all make, create something fun and share it with us at Squigglefly this week.  If you use a Squigglefly image, you can be eligible to win a prize!

Cheers, Holley

Squigglefly Challenge

The Challenge over at the Squigglefly blog this week is to use a frame on your card.  The frame I am using here is one that I made myself using some gorgeous gold printed paper and my own spellbinders diecut. I cut out a large die and created a frame for this great image, then I had this funny saying "If cats could talk, they'd lie."   I used a fun image from artist Sandra Caldwell called Mummy Kat. This cat so reminds me of my cat getting into a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, so I added the 2nd sentiment myself from the computer "I didn't mess up the bathroom!"  I can't tell you how many times I saw that cat leaving the room with a shred of toilet paper following her like she didn't make the huge mess.

Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge this week and use a frame on your card.  You can win a prize if you use a Squigglefly image on your card.  Did you know we have a frame in our freebie section?  there's an image called Journal Frame...TRY IT!!

a big hello

Here's a fun card that I did to play along in this week's Squigglefly challenge.  The challenge was to create a fall theme or Halloween theme card.  On Monday I shared a Halloween card that I made, but today I have this fun Fall card that I made using an image from Angela Charles called Big Flowers.  I used some gorgeous fall theme paper to paper piece the image together and added a wonderful sentiment from Charlene Mitchell A Big Little Hello.

You have just one more day to join in all the fun on this week's challenge, so give it a try! Share a card with us.  Then check on Monday to see if you have won and to see what the next challenge is.

Cheers, Holley
