Last day of March! Now we are just 64 days until Turkiye! WOW. Time is quickly approaching. I think there is 24 more days of work until I take off, but I am not sure how my counting is, plus, I often pick up extra workdays. How about you? what are you counting down to?

Happy Saturday everyone! I am going to show some wonderful Easter theme cards that I made at the convention last week. I had so much fun with my mother and my God Mother. It was very special time. In addition to easter cards, I also did cards for summer time, birthday theme (both men, women and kids), winnie the pooh cards and more! my total for the four days was 286!

Howdy everyone. Just letting you know that you are all TEA-RIFFIC! I thought you would get a kick out of this adorable little tea pot today.
It's my first day back at work since Spring Break. I had a great time at the convention and will start sharing projects that I completed there soon enough. This project is one that I completed at the PREVIOUS convention the year before.
I can't believe we are on Tuesday already. Just 70 days now and I am off. I haven't counted how many school days are actually left, let me do that.....it can't be that many, hmmm I count 28, then there are 2 easter holidays, so 26! WOO HOO. Well today we are leaving the convention and traveling home. Here's a great project created by an artist that i met at the Texas Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony. She had a booth and was raising money to save the turtles. She was selling some wonderful handmade cards that were super cute. Hello all it's the last day of the convention today, we will be taking one more fun class today, it's making a great book called "Coffee" with the owner of Scrappy Boy Stamps. He's just a hoot and so much fun. I had a blast last time I took a class from him.

Today we will get up and grab breakfast and then goto the convention early and I am taking two classes. One that teaches you to make 18 cards with a 6x6 pad of paper and one that gives you tons of wonderful goodies (that one with my mom). I look forward to a nice, hopefully slow day.

Today is day one of the convention. It is an evening event filled with projects and sales of crafty goodies. It will run from like 2pm to 10pm. That's a long time, I will craft that long, but in my hotel, not at the convention. Eventually I will want the comfort of my own.

Today i am leaving for the convention in Irving Texas. I will go with my mother and we should be meeting my God Mother there. I can't wait to visit with them and have fun.

Happy Monday everyone! Does anyone else have today off? do other countries have a holiday like "spring break"? in America it is a one week break from school that typically occurs during March. It happens at all schools from elementary to college.

Here's another set of wonderful work from students in Turkiye. This will be my first year going there and seeing a new class of students and not the students who created this work. I will always be happy to see new kiddos but sad to miss the kids from the last several years.

Happy Friday everyone! It's spring break...well, almost. I do have to work today. I look forward to the convention which is now only five days away. I am taking a couple of classes, one of which is to take a 6x6 pad of paper and create 18 cards in one hour. I loved the class from the same company last year (stampilistic). Here's an interesting skull card that I made with some gorgeous embellishments that I got in Turkiye. The skull was meant to be a patch, but I adhered it to the card with glue dots. The flowers were lovely little embellishments in a store, I don't know what they are meant to be used for but I thought they would go perfectly on greeting cards.

Four more days to spring break! lol, is my counting annoying yet? how about the 84 days left until Turkiye?!? I am excited about that too. I am such a blessed person. I often need to sit back and be thankful for that, like every day and every hour.

Here's a card created by a child from Austin, I went to this kid's booth at the christmas carnival at the capital tree lighting ceremony, She had lovely cards made and was sharing awesome cards she created in a Texas theme. Happy Saturday everyone. I am thankful for the weekend. I feel like the last week of celebration in addition to the packages and the extra shifts was a lot. I would say that I need some down time but I don't think I will get much this weekend. BUSY BUSY BUSY. and in reality, that's my norm, so I should be thankful for that.

Today is a special day that I won't be working as I am going back to my OLD elementary school to visit a couple of students, one of whom is leaving AISD. I wish him the very best! I have seen him grow so much over the last couple of years. What a great kid. Best wishes to you in your endeavors.

Happy Monday everyone! I can't believe we are in the first week of March now, Just 16 days to the convention and only 6 days of work until spring break! I hope to make lots of cards on this trip, maybe not the 300 plus I did last year, but still, hope to get a lot done this year.
Here's some wonderful art from the class of children in Istanbul. These kids graduated from elementary school and are now in middle school in Turkiye right now. This summer when I visit my dear friend will be teaching a new class of kids, young kids as the teacher starts with the kids in first grade and progresses with them through elementary school.

Happy March! Wow, I can't believe we are in March! packages will start the mailing process TODAY! WOO HOO. I am usually off on Tue and Thursday so I hope to get them all out into the mail today and the other hand delivered this week. Keep your eyes posted.
