Guest Designer Beverly

Here's a wonderful card that I received from Beverly Jordan.  She's using a sweet stamp from Some Odd Girl.  She sent me this card in thanks of the Celebration.  I would love to share your card too, feel free to send me one (or email it :)  I would also love to share anything you made with the prizes you won from the Feb. Celebration!

Howdy Y'all

Here's a great image from Sandra Caldwell.  She will be adding this image to her Etsy store Babycakes DND, it's called 2191 Cowboy Boots, not only perfect for a Texan like me, but great for the upcoming father's day!

I added a great sentiment, "Dear Joy, find me in the country."  Well, another school week down, just 12 days left this year!  Keep the kids in your thoughts next week, it's the STAAR test, (Texas version of standardized testing for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades).

Cheers, Holley

Be Yourself

Here's a lovely image from the East Wind. I love this character that she makes stamps with, Lucy Loo. Just awesome. I am using a banner die cut from (I think) CC designs. Love it.  I also like the way this color combo of red, black and grey turned out together.

More testing is approaching the kiddos, keep them in your thoughts it's a very stressful time for all of them.

I'm not grumpy

LOL!  This image/sentiment me crack up.  Maybe that is why I love Grumplings, they have some attitude. There's definitely some days when I feel this way too. And there's other days when I don't feel this way, but I look like I do.  Hmm I think they call that a "witchy" resting face, or you get my drift, lol

Anyways, hope this card gave you a little chuckle today. Have a great day!

Happy Unicorn

Here's a great image from Ike's Art.  This cutie was a freebie on their Facebook group, Ike's Art Fan Page!  Drop by over there and check it out!  you can find the round #3 folder in the photos section of their facebook group, be sure and join the facebook group first, where you can get this great image and make a card to join along! it's HERE.

We have just barely over 3 weeks of school now, I am thinking both the kids and the teachers are getting excited now!  The closer to the end of school means the close to vacation!

Precious Girl

Here's a precious image from Sherri Baldy today combined with a little dragonfly charm and some sweet lace from turkey. It's time for a brand new contest at the SSS Challenge blog. The theme this week is to add a charm on your project.  We'd love to see your wonderful creations.

If you play, you could win some wonderful stamps from Sherri Baldy as well as a chance to be a guest designer on the Addicted to Stamps blog

Mini Calendars

Here's some adorable mini calendars that I created to handout to my fellow church members as well as my fellow workers at school.  Both the stamps used on the top row come from Unity Stamps

Guest Designer Karin

Here's another wonderful creation shared by Karin of https://karinsartscrap.blogspot.nl/

She made this daring House Mouse card using two wonderful die cuts sets that she won from the February celebration, on that she got THIS year and one that she won LAST year!!

Chocolate anyone?

Here's a hilarious image from Sandra Caldwell today.  The sentiment says "Everything I like is either illegal, immoral, fattening, or too expensive."  HA!  I also added some gorgeous Turkish lace to go with it.  Isn't this image too funny?  it's called 1878 Mars Bar Sweet Treat.

Out of curiosity, what's your favorite candy bar?  I think mine would have to be a three musketeers or a twix.

Woo freakin Hoo

Here's a funny stamp from Taylored Expressions stamp line, Grumplings paired with some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress as well as some stunning lace that I got in Istanbul Turkiye.  I just love the attitude of this stamp paired with something as opposite as a beautiful layout.

The base of the card is a wonderful mica cardstock called Rose Quartz.  I paired that color with some beautiful silver Mica.  The image is printed on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock which runs beautifully through my printer.  I added some little bling as the final touch on this card.  Hope you like it!

SWALK

Here's a stamp line I haven't used for quite a while, but I have always loved them, SWALK. They are just TOO cute. I added a sweet sentiment to this card, "You are simply perfect to me." How sweet is that?  I just love their little girls and boys. I was very lucky to be on the Crafter's Companion Design Team when they used to sell SWALK images.

Hope you are having a great week, take care

Holley

New ideas

Here's a great image from The East wind, I just love her awesome drawings. I added a great Cosmo Crickett saying, "Coming up with new ideas isn't as hard as breaking free from the old ones."  Hope you like this card today

Happy May everyone!  Can you believe it is finally here?  I am so ready for it. It's now the last month of school, the kids and the teachers are getting restless and ready for the summer time.  I am still working out everyday in a feeble attempt to drop weight (down over 20 now). Hope to keep going though, I have about a month and 2/3 before vacation.

Just the 2 of us

Here's a funny image from Dr Digi that I used to create a card for the current contest over at Outlawz. The new Monday Greetings Challenge is Anything goes and it requires as always that you include a sentiment of some kind on the front of your card.

Drop by Outlawz and join in the Monday Greetings challenge this week and share your latest card with us!  Hope you all had an awesome April, now let's bring on May!  Just one more month until summertime.

Live Well- Laugh Often - Love Much

Here's a wonderful Bestie image today using this beautiful image from Sherri Baldy. I just love all her cute little girls.  I colored her up in yellow with red polka dots and added some great foil background paper in red and dark red buttons to go with it.  The Live Well-Laugh Often-Love Much sentiment just went perfectly with her.

I hope you are ready for a great month of May, I can't believe we are on the last month of school this year!

Guest Designer Barbara

Here's a lovely card that I got from a prize winner, Babara, who made this wonderful Celebration card! and even enclosed some awesome skull stickers inside. Thanks so much!  So glad you liked your prizes.  Enjoy!

Dream Big

Here's a great image from Dilly Beans. I love this artists quirky images, beautiful girl images, fun skulls, and silly monsters.  She's awesome.  This image is just TOO cute with that big 'ol heart on his sweater.

I hope you had a great April, I can't believe we are now heading into May, just 2 months to vacation.  It will be here before I know it now.  I feel like I have so much to get done!

Beauty hides the imperfections

Here's an awesome image from Boobel Stamps.  I think this ballerina is just too fun! I had to add some gorgeous paisley ribbon from Turkiye and some great Turkish lace as well.  The sentiment is just perfect for this "Beauty hides in the imperfections"

Hope this card gave you a smile today.  May you have a beautiful day!

Tickled Pink

Here's a precious Gorjuss Girl stamp. I am sure you all know I love these images just based on the fact that my blog uses a Gorjuss Girl header on it.  I have been a huge fan since I first came across these stamps in an international store so many years ago.

Last time I was in Turkiye I was delighted to come across a mall that had a music store with a huge selection of Sanrio products.  Oh, what a delight.  Took me a long time to choose which one I wanted. I got the coolest Gorjuss Girl wallet there.  So fun.

You are beautiful

Here's a super cute image from Whipper Snapper. I have always been a huge fan of this stamp company. This image is just too cute.  I have added some bling and some beautiful Turkish Lace to the card as well.

I can't believe we are nearing the end of April as that means we have just 25 days of school left until summer comes.  Add another couple of weeks to that until it's vacation time.  Eek, so much to do!

Friends

Here's a darling Sherri Baldy image today that I used to create a card for the current contest over at the SSS Challenge blog. The theme is anything but square cards.  I am using a standard A2 size card, flipped on it's side and I have the image hanging off the top edge.

I hope you will drop by the Challenge blog and check out the other Design Team member's cards and then join in the fun and share your Sherri Baldy cards with us. We'd love to see your creations.

Old Lady Twist

Here's a brand new stamp from artist Sandra Caldwell today. She's called Old Lady Twist #2214;  Isn't she awesome? She looks like she's dancing!  Sandra will be adding this as well as several other brand new wonderful stamps to her store this Friday morning, Etsy store Babycakes DND.  Be sure and check out all her new images.

Beary Cute!

Here's a sweet and simple girl with her teddy bear (and the cutest little hat) from Dilly Beans. I paired that with some gorgeous papers from the Spring Premium Package at Paper Temptress for this cute and simple little card.

This awesome package is currently on sale and you get free shipping!!  Every sheet is amazing specialty papers.  I am using some of the beautiful Amethyst Mica/Metallic paper, printed my image on the cryogen white.  Then I surrounded the image with some gorgeous ribbon, I wish you could see the wonderful detailing on this ribbon, check it out HERE, it's called Plum Splitz Ribbon, it has two stunning textures on the same ribbon!  I glued the sheer side under the image and have the beautiful textured side creating a frame around the image.  I also added a small piece of Silver Mica/Metallic to the card (not in the Spring Premium Pack);

I hope you will just LOVE the Spring Premium Pack, check it out at Paper Temptress.

Cheers, Holley
