Giving Thanks

Here's a Thanksgiving theme card that I made using some great stamps from Unity stamp company and wonderful papers from Paper Temptress.  The papers are just so shimmery that I wish the image captured the real beauty of them!

The sentiment and the pumpkin where printed out on Neenah solar white classic crest.  The base of the card is a wonderful sheet of Mica/Metallic in Flame.  I then used two layers of gorgeous cardstock underneath the pumpkin stamp, the black is actually a beautiful shimmery Incandescent paper called Nero.  Underneath the Nero is some wonderful Mica/Metallic paper called Citrine.

Bend Over!

Here's a fun image from The East Wind.  They are sponsoring the current contest over at YSBP Challenge blog.  The contest is anything goes and you get an extra entry for using an East Wind stamp.  I hope you will drop by over there and share a card today!

I thought this Lucy Loo image was just TOO great for those sexy nurse cards you sometimes need, be it Halloween or get well times.  Hope you like it.

Have a great day!  Keep the doctor away LOL

Swinging

Sharing a lovely image from Lili of the Valley today.  I just adore their little girl stamps.  This image was just TOO cute.  I colored it up with copic markers and added some great lace that I got while in Turkiye.

I added some sentiment stickers from AMM.

Hope you have a wonderful week.  This is the last week of school here before Thanksgiving break which will include all of next week for us.

Believe in the magic

Here's an awesome image from Sheepski Designs on Etsy.  I just love this artist's images and esp her wonderful SKULL images.  This one was just TOO perfect for me for the holidays.  There's a great contest going on this week at Monday Greetings Challenge at Outlawz, the theme is Happy Holidays.  Please share your wonderful holiday theme cards with us!

I hope you will drop by Outlawz and check out the Monday Greetings Challenge and be sure as always to put a greeting somewhere on the front of your card!

Cheers, Holley

Leaf cards

Here's some more of the beautiful leaf cards that I created using some gorgeous pressed leaves given to me by a fellow member of my church.

99% angel

Here's an awesome image from Sweet Pea stamps. I so miss this company. I am thankful to have worked for them for many years so I have lots of rubber and digi stamps of their goodies.  This cutie has such a fun attitude.  I also did her up as a Christmas theme card, but I thought she would also work as a general theme stamp

I hope you are all having a great week.  Better start all getting ready for Thanksgiving as it is approaching so very quickly!

Bearly Loves Cookies

Here's a brand new image from artist Sandra Caldwell this week.  This lovely stamp is called 1897 Bearly Loves Cookies.  Too Cute.  I colored her up with copic markers and even found the cutest chocolate chip cookie button to go with her.  I also added some great lace from Istanbul.

Sandra will be adding this image to her Etsy store, Babycakes DND sometime today, so keep your eye out for this and many more brand new stamps.

Sharing Bloobel Stamps

Here's a stamp you all had to know I would love.  This image is too quirky and fun, which is right up my alley.  It's from Bloobel Stamps.  She recently put a bunch of her wonderful images on sale and I had to scoop up a whole bunch of them before they got retired.   This one is still available for just $1 and is called Letting Go

I am using some Bazzil paper here and some fun Washi tape.  I hope you are all having a great day and that this card gave you a little smile.  You can check out this fun artist on her site, Bloobel stamps

Owl be your friend!

Here's an awesome image from a Tim Holtz set that I just love. My hubby got me this set for Christmas a couple years ago and I just adore it.  TOO funny these birds.  I added a cute little crocheted flower that I got from a friend.

Hope you are having a beautiful fall.  I can't believe how warm the weather as been here, oh wait. I am in Texas, so yes I can.  I hope it stays this way!

Cheers, Holley

Lucy Loo, The East Wind

Here's a gorgeous image from The East Wind.  I just love this Lucy Loo character that she creates.  There's a wonderful contest going on right now on the Your Scrapbook Place blog that is a card challenge this month sponsored by the East Wind.  Drop by over there and enter your newest card to share with us. The contest is Anything goes!

I am using some great lace from Istanbul on this card. I think it goes perfect with the delicate image of Lucy Loo in this photo.

Thanks for those who asked about the Bazaar, the church sold almost 3/4 of what you all saw!!  that was a great addition to the money that they earned. I was so happy about that.  I took what was left today to my work and sold about 3/4 of what I had left, so looks like I will be starting from scratch next year.  Guess I better get started now!

Leaf cards

Here's some more wonderful Leaf cards that I created using beautiful local leaves that a church lady collected and pressed for me.  I used them to create these cards that were sold at the church bazaar yesterday.

Cute little project

Here's a quick and cute little project I did with a fun stamp from Sweet Pea stamps.  I made a Tea container that you could put goodies in, it was a container that I got at the Dollar Store and I decorated it with pink papers and this darling image:

Here's the finished project:

Have a great Saturday!

Here's some photos after Friday set up

My Darling

Here's a beautiful lady from Sassy Studio. I just love this artist's images. I do so miss her online as I believe she has now stopped making digi stamps.  I have taken off work today as the church bazaar is tomorrow so I want to get there today to help with the set up. There is going to be so much work today.  Funny how a day off will be more work than a simple day at work.

Have a great weekend everyone and if you live in the Austin TX area, please come by the Crestview United Methodist Church for the Annual Bazaar at 9-1.  We will have food and crafts.  I did a ton of wonderful cards that you see on my blog, lovely jewelry, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more.  Plus we usually have some vendors too.

Dia de los Muertos

Here's a quick and cute card that combines some great Hambly Studio Overlays from Paper Temptress to make a bright and fun festive card for Dia de los Muertos.  Some time ago, I shared a card and talked about Dia de los Muertos (and I am sure I have shared many more cards, but at least once I talked about the actual holiday, which is quite popular where I grew up in south Texas).

I am using a cute wood mounted stamp, it's a brand I don't know, but it was just a dollar or so and makes the cutest image!

It works perfect with these bright and beautiful papers from Paper Temptress for this holiday.  I started with Basis Black for my background.  Again, when I don't have cardstock that gives me 6" cards, I just take an 8.5x11" sheet, fold it half and make a 5.5" square card like this one shown.  I then added super cute layers of Hambly Studio overlays.  The first layer is pink bows called Pink Bow Ties.  Then I made a 3 layer sandwich of Neenah solar white, my stamped image, also on Neenah solar white, and a cut out from the Hambly Studio Overlay called Urban Chic Frames in lime.

Cat Wreath

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Here's an awesome image from one of my favorite artists, Lizzy Love.  I totally adore her images at Oddball Art Stamps.  She makes the cutest and the funkiest images.  Here's a darling witch that is just perfect for the holiday!  I hope you have a wonderful Halloween.  My neighborhood doesn't have a lot of kids in it, but the local churchs all have events which brings in a lot of trick or treaters to the area.

To all my friends in other countries, do you have a similar holiday to this?

Happy Halloween from this old bat!

Here's a hilarious image from Art Impressions.  I totally love this hilarious image.  I hate to think it, but I am getting pretty close to being an old bat myself, lol!  perhaps not as old as the one shown here, but being around an elementary school all day sure reminds me how old I am.

I hope everyone is having a great week and is ready for Halloween tomorrow.  Is anyone getting all dressed up in costume for the Holiday?

Wicked...well, not really

Here's a beautiful stamp from Kenny K.  I do so love his images and beautiful ladies.  This image is just perfect for Halloween.  I am using some adorable Halloween paper to go with it and a cute sticker to top it off.  I hope you have all be enjoying the fun Halloween cards this year.

Just a few more days until the holiday!  Have a great weekend everyone.

Boo to you!

Here's an adorable image from Lizzy Love (Oddball Arts) that I had to make a card out of for Halloween.  Isn't this too cute to spook?  so very adorable!  There's an awesome contest over at the Oddball Arts challenge blog that I am going to share this card in.  Be sure and check out their fun contest too!

Boo to all of you today and have a great finish to your weeks before the weekend comes.  Big hugs everyone!

Trick or Treat

Here's a cute little stamp that I just had to have, she's called Goth Girl.  She's actually a wood based stamp, so you know I had to really like her a lot to get her.  I seldom get wood based stamps any more.  I am somewhere between 2/3 digi and 1/3 rubber now. I love her cute little bat balloon and she's all ready to go Trick or Treating.

Hope you are having  a great week.  I am loving getting all these Halloween cards in, I promise I will stop at the end of October, thanks so much for putting up with my Halloween craze over the last month!
