Fall Leaves

Here are some more beautiful pressed leaves that I got from a fellow church member.  She loves to press various leaves that she finds and I take them and make greeting cards for the church's bazaar.

Sugar Skull card

Sharing this Sugar Skull card today. I cut these out and then used assorted colors of stickles to fill them in with different colors.  Hoping you are all liking all the Halloween cards.

Happy Halloween

Here's a card I made with some super cute skeletons and some great papers from Paper Temptress.  I love that I can combine Halloween with my love of skeletons, but as you know, it's never really stopped me from enjoying them on cards!

The base of the card is white cardstock, Neenah solar white classic crest.  If you want to make square cards but only have 8.5x11" card stock, fold it in half and cut out a 5.5" square card.  I then added a wonderful Hambly Studio Overlay on top of it.  I just love the Lime Green color for Halloween (well, let's be honest, Halloween and many other) times.  This paper is called Lime Mini Graph.  I added a cute set of stamped skeletons on Neenah Solar White, layered on Silver, layered on Black glossy.

Here comes Peter Cottontail....

Ever wonder what Peter Cottontail does during Halloween?

Here's an adorable Halloween bunny stamp (sorry I don't know who makes it, feel free to tell me if you do).  It has this funny sentiment with it which of course reminds me of the old sentiment about Petter Cottontail.  We used to hear that song so much around easter time when I was a kid.  Am I showing my age with that?

I don't know what kids see at easter or at Halloween nowadays.  I might be too ScArEd to see it. lol

Boo!

Sharing this hilarious witch image from Whipper Snapper today. I just love their cute images.  This one was just perfect for Halloween time. She's hiding and getting ready to jump up and shout, "Boo!"  so Boo to all of you today, I hope you are having a great one!

Enjoy Fall Harvest

We are starting a brand new contest over on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge blog. Here's a hilarious image from Ike's Art today.  There's a great contest over at YSBP challenge blog being sponsored by Ike's Art.  The theme is anything goes and you get an extra entry for using a stamp from Ike's Art.  You can also enter the same card over at the Ike's World Challenge Blog (Their theme is anything goes, but their twist is to use food).

Life is better

I am sharing a quick and cute image from Unity Stamps today. I just loved this adorable bird and the sentiment that he came with. I used some great embossing on the card and paired blue, orange and green together today.  Not my usual color set, but I am trying to use some different colors some days.

Hope you had a great week and are planning something special this weekend.  If you are here in America and get the Monday off, enjoy your three day weekend.  I will be working on Monday, though the kids will not be at the school.

Trick or Treat!

Here's an adorable Halloween card using some cute die cuts and some great paper from Paper Temptress.  I just love orange and black and most especially SKULLS and skeletons, so needless to say, Halloween time is one of my favorite card making times of the year.

I am using Basic Black as the base of this card.  I cut out three adorable Skeletons (Yvonne Creations) in Heavenly White paper and glued them on to the card.  I added a single strip of Flame Mica/Metallic to give the final card a little shimmer.

Here's a recent die cut that I got, I just had to make some cards using some awesome skulls and skeletons dies that just came out.  Here's one that I used another product called a Wobble with.  Those are items that will make one object on your card spring back and forth so I added a little video on the bottom of this posting so you could see how it looks when it wobbles.

Witches Brew

Here's a recent image that I got from The East Wind.  I thought she would be perfect for a Halloween theme card.  I colored up her dress in red and added some witchy theme embellishments as well as some cool skull paper for her card.

I just got some awesome Skull/skeleton die cuts that I hope to get some cards made before Halloween to share.  But if not, you all know I never need to have Halloween as my excuse to share skull theme cards :)

Thanksgiving Blessings

Here's a fall theme card for the current challenge at Monday Greetings for Outlawz.  Our sponsor is Fred she Said designs and this adorable stamp is Emma and her cool cap.  The theme is to create a fall theme card.  I used some awesome pumpkin paper and some fun leaves along with a Thanksgiving theme sentiment.

Here's an awesome image from Sherri Baldy this month.  She's just TOO cute!  This lady in a robe with her fuzzy bunny slippers are fabulous! I added a sweet sentiment "It's never too late to start the day over."   I am also using some great lace that I got while in Istanbul.

A Hoot and a Half

Here's the cutest Unity Stamp, what an adorable Owl! Don't you just love these images from Unity Stamps? I have several images of this owl in different settings.  he's just TOO cute.  I also love the saying "You are a HOOT and a HALF"  Too fun.  I also got to add some great lace that I got while in Istanbul last summer.

I hope you are all having a great week. I can't believe we are at the end of Sept and ready for Oct to get started.  How can the weather here still be 90+ degrees F?

Perfectly Imperfect

Ever have days like this, lol?  some days I know I do. I feel like I am laying on my back and kicking my legs furiously to get around.  It's like everything around me is moving in real time and I am moving in "turtle speed."    This adorable image from Whipper Snapper goes perfect with this sentiment, Perfectly Imperfect.

I think it's mostly due to the severity of allergy season and how hard I have been coughing and coughing all night long then so raspy in the day that you can't even hear my voice.  It's time for the pollen counts to get lower!!

The Good Life

Here's a wonderful stamp from Sherri Baldy. There's a brand new contest over on the SSS Challenge blog. The theme is brown and orange.  You all just know this is a color combo that I LOVE, and I also added a lot of yellow to the mix as it's just perfect for fall time.  I am using an adorable Sherri Baldy stamp here.

Here's a little Baby stamp that I have using some green embellishments to go with her. TOO cute huh.  I hope your Sept has been going great and you are ready for a wonderful October. I can't believe that it's already here and upon us. Seems like this month has run by, then again, seems like that first month of school sure did take a long time to go by, lol!

I thought this card would be fun for either Halloween or Valentines, lol!  She's a fun zombie from Kraftin' Kimmie.  Who wouldn't want a zombie card with a heart?  I guess if I was going to get a zombie card, I would want one with heart.

Leaf me Alone

Happy Friday everyone! It's time to share a brand new image from artist Sandra Caldwell today. This cutie is called Leaf me Alone 1847.  She will get added to Sandra's Etsy store Babycakes Dnd today!  There will be lots of wonderful new images added to the store and fantastic design team cards shared on the Facebook group Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans.

I hope everyone has had a great week and has some exciting plans for the weekend.  It will be nice and quiet here. I wish it would be a little cooler. My best friend got to visit her daughter in Utah and told me it was 50 degrees F there.  It was 90 degrees here, so needless to say I wish there was a happy medium!

Happy Fall with Paper Temptress

Here's a sweet and simple card using some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress and some wonderful pressed leaves.  I make these cards in combination with a lady from my church for the annual church bazaar.  Don't these papers make the leaves stand out?

This card is using some beautiful Tuscan Sun (Brawny) paper with some Hambly Studio Overlays in  Brown Hanging Heliconias.  The Hambly Studio Overlays can be purchased in wonderful 6x6" packages with a large assortment of different styles including the one shown (see here).  The leaves are then mounted on Heavenly white.

Love

Here's a stunning image from Unity Stamps along with a great saying from them.  "If you have only one smile in you give it to the people you Love."  How sweet is that?  I loved this sentiment and thought it would go with many pretty images.

Hope that everyone is going to have a great week. Thanks for all the inquiries that everyone has made about my family in Florida. Grandpa is getting better and they will slowly fix up the house and take care of things.  There was not any extensive damages but Grandpa's health. That's all we worry about. Thanks so much for your prayers.
