Whiff of Joy

Happy World Cardmaking day!! Today is offically a celebration for all the cardmakers out there. Here's my first card using a stamp from Whiff of Joy. She's so sweet. I love her cute pants.
Another thing I did for this card was layering on the ribbons. I started with a light colored orange and then layered a thinner stitched ribbon on top. Looking forward to making more cards today, it is world cardmaking day!

Witchy Emma

Happy Friday all! I am glad to see another week has passed and another weekend is approaching. I just got this adorable stamp from CC Designs with Emma in a little witch outfit. Too sweet.

I am still working on my copic marker coloring. This image uses 2 shades of skin tone, 3 shades of brown and 2 shades of violet. Can you tell that? I guess you don't want to really see all the different colors so much as see the dimensionality of the shading. Well, I will keep practicing.

Boo to you!

I can't believe we are already in October! I have started making many Halloween cards to send out to friends and family. This one uses a Ghost that I stamped on printed vellum paper.

I was able to ahere the ghosts down using a glue pen and carefully placing the glue in areas that were masked by the ink from the stamp. I used a new border punch from Fiskars to give the card three layers and then used a vertical stamp from Sweet Pea on the edge.

Tending the Garden

This cute little girl is going out to the garden in her overalls pulling a cute wagon with her. The stamp comes from Hanglar&Stangler.

Hope you are having a Happy Thursday. It's getting cooler here in TX I think you could start up a garden again, esp with the wonderful rain we have been having. This is more work with Copic Markers.

Stamping Bella Birthday

Ahhh...Nuts!

As we start off Fall, here's a great stamp from Whipper Snapper. I love this cute little squirrel and his nut collection.

Around here we have a ton of squirrels. My neighborhood is full of them. We even have a pair of totally white squirrels, which are unusual for the area. Here they mostly love the pecans, though I do see some going after acorns. Makes my cat crazy as she watches them from her window seat.

The saying sticker is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I don't know if the kids still say that, but I can surely remember it from my childhood. "Trick or Treat! Smell my Feet, Gimme something good to eat!" Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. I am starting to feel better today. Today's the best I have felt since friday.

Little Love Bug

"Kiss me and you will see the Stars; Love me and I will give them to you" That's a great sentiment stamp from Unity Stamp's Kit of the month and it goes so well with this adorable stamp from Hanglar&Stanglar.
Not sure how I would give my love bird the stars, but I guess if he really wanted them then I would strive to do that. The rain has returned and with it slightly cooler weather. I am still fighting a severe sinus infection. I hope all of you are fairing better than I!

Fat Cat!

Here's another cute stamp that I got from Whipper Snapper a couple of weeks ago. I love this fat cat with a cute bird on his head. I used copic markers for this card and paired it with a funny saying from Cat's Pajamas Rubber Stamps.

Hope everyone is ready for the new week! I am feeling much better than before, now it's just sinuses. I must have gotten into something I was allergic to because my sinuses are all stuffed up. No other symptoms though. I did go out today, even walked to and from church, so perhaps there is something in the air.

Here's a cute card showing Tilda holding a cat that's almost as big as she is! I paired it with a cute saying from Cat's Pajamas "Dogs have owners. Cats have staff" Having a cat, I think that is pretty true. My cat definitely thinks I am here to do nothing but take care of her!

Happy Friday everyone! I am happy to see another week coming to a close. We have had some great rain here in Austin this week. It's cooled off from the 90s down to the 70s (though I see we are going back to the 90s again). Guess I shouldn't put all the ice cream up. "All the flowers of all the tomorrows arein the seeds of today --Indian Proverb" Isn't that a wonderful sentiment! This card was made using two stamp from Sweet Pea stamps. The saying in blue and the background uses a black and white stamped dragonfly.

Unity Stamps Rag Doll

Here's a cute stamp set that I got last week at the convention. It came from Unity Stamp Company and included this adorable little Ragdoll stamp. "A trip to nostalgia is good for the Spirit"

I have some other wonderful saying from Unity Stamp Company. The conventioneer who sold it told me this set was exclusive for certain vendors. It's quite large, had an 8.5x11 sheet of rubber that was already mounted on EZ mount. There's a bunch of cute stamps and many had matching sayings. You will be seeing them over the next few months.

Tilda's having a Party

Tilda's having a party today. She brought some balloons just for you! I can't think of the last time I got balloons. They have all sorts of amazing things now. Balloons in every shape and color, every character, printed for every occasion, that make noise, play recorded messages and you can even get them printed up for your own special occasion.



Kinda funny after I colored her shorts in Blue, they look like she's got jean shorts on backwards! I picked up some new copic markers while at the convention this past weekend, including the pink colors used here.

Hello everyone! It's great to be home. Had a wonderful time at the convention. The hotel was really nice and it was so much fun to hang out with friends and family while crafting at the same time. I hope to get photos and/or project pictures in the computer sometime to share.

Friends make everything Bearable!

Friends make everything bearable! Oh how true and isn't our teddy one of our most trusted friends? As I prepare to travel, I see this little teddy and image all those kids traveling who MUST have the comfort of their best friend.Having just been a convention with some good friends and family, I am surely appreciating this sentiment. I hope to come home and tell you all about it, as well as post the Sunday Angel card.

Anime Stamps

Something I have been seeing recently is Anime (or Manga) style stamps; In a nutshell, the difference is "Anime" is derived from Japanses style Animations whereas manga comes from printed comics. I have started seeing a lot of this type of art and it is now creeping into the stamping realm as well. Here's a girl stamp that I picked up off of ebay from a company in the UK. I don't know whether it is anime or manga. For all I know this could be a popular character in some comic series or tv show.

I think what I like about it is simlar to the face features of the other stamps I like. Large eyes, innocent looks with little or no other facial features. I picked up a handful of these stamps and will show them over time.

Stamping Bella Love

Hello and Happy Friday Everyone! Even though I am out today, I still wanted to post some fun cards for you to enjoy. This cutie somes from Stampin Bella Rubber stamps.
I love her long beautiful hair. Can you imagine a real person with hair this long? Mine goes all the way down my back to almost my tailbone. I can't imagine it getting much longer. I have been contemplating having a whole foot+ cut off to donate to locks of love. Believe it or not they will even take the partially grey hair I have, lol!

Red Dress

I really like this Dress Stamp from Sweet Pea Designs. Maybe I am wishing I was back to my younger days when I could slip into a dress like that! Good thing friendship is closing its eyes, it can imagine I am thin enough to fit that dress, LOL!Both these stamps come on Plate 7. Sweet Pea is having a sale this week.
