Hugs everyone! Here's a cute project using a new stamp from Stamping Bella. It's a doll from their KETTO line

The background paper is yellow with a layered black paper on top. The coloring on the little doll's dress ranges from orange to dark red, but doesn't seem to show up as clearly in the scan.

Bonus Project

I thought I would put this little guy in as an extra project today. Something about these tear bears just fascinates me. I don't know if it's the innocent big eyes or the fact that they are assembled from so many little parts.

I created this little guy a while back but I still just love the technique. He's assembled from 10 pieces of black heavy mulberry and three pieces of white mulberry. The eyes and nose are made from cardstock. There are all sorts of places on-line that have free tear bear patterns and several places that sell tear bear books and patterns.

Hopefully later I will get to include some tear bears on a project. As for tomorrow, we will get back to rubber stamping :) LMK what you think, this was the first full sized tear bear I made.

Simply Gorjuss

Here's a simple Gorjuss card I made with Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girls stamps. I almost never work in green, so I decided to make the outfit on this girl with two shades of green-Ionian green and field green mixed together. I think the color matches perfectly with the fuzzy brads.

The girl is accented with mustard colored accents and an array of brown colors in her hair. I think I like green and brown together. I will try and use this color combination more often!

GRATTY 'tude

Here's one of the adorable stamps I rec'd yesterday from Stamping Bella. Her name is GRATTY 'tude. She comes with a saying, but today I picked this saying from Sweet Pea Stamps "I'd pick a whole garden just for you!!!"

Hard to tell from the photo, but the background papers are wonderful thick handmade papers. Beautiful! So, who would you go and pick a garden of flowers for?

This little blue bird comes from Pink Cat Studios. I love her little glasses and the funny matching saying that goes with the stamp. I used my Sizzix to cut out a branch to place her on.

CC Designs Fairy Girl

Birds of a Feather HOOT together

Birds of a feather HOOT together. These three friends look like they are ready for some Hooting action. What's there to HOOT about? well I am thinking of going to the free make-n- take specials at my local scrapping store tomorrow (plus they are giving away a pack of free ribbons too).

My DH (John) is going to the American Cheese Festival downtown here in Austin. I would join him but the tickets were $75. That's a bit much for me. I'd rather spend that $ at the scrapping store than on some cheese.

What a blessing you are!

Here's an adorable card using Greeting Farm Lion. This cute card measures only 2.5" wide and is almost 6" tall. It's made of a wonderfully thick handmade paper. I just love unusual card sizes and shapes.

All the items I used for this card are things I acquired in swaps online (except the stamps) including the card and matching envie, the buttons, the sewn borders, the white paper, the glue pen, and the glue dots!

Gorjuss Time

Time for another Gorjuss card. This one was made with Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girl stamps. I love the vibrant orange colors and the gold embossing on the background.



The background was actually supposed to be a journaling card. The place where the Gorjuss Girl is covers up the printed lines that would be used for journaling. I turned the journal card sideways. I trimmed the paper so the girl would fit inside the gold dotting. I think the vibrant watercoloring on her dress matches the card perfectly.

Friendship Garden

This cute little guy is called Fluffles. He's made by Stampendous and there's a whole line of stamps just for him. I really like Fluffles. Here's he's making a new friend in the garden.

Communing with Nature

This cute stamp is designed by Leann Ellis. She loves to commune with nature under the flowery trees. The stamp itself also has a branch with flowers and a bird in it, but I removed that portion of the stamped image and instead created my own version of the scene.



How do you like to commune with nature? walk in the park, keep a garden, leave food for the animals? I don't feel like I commune much with nature lately. But if there were a beautiful tree sprouting orange flowers, I would be there!

Sugar and Spice

Sugar and Spice and everything Nice. That's what little girls are made off. I started with the rubon quote for this card because it was all about little girls. I did the card in blues and greens, which are not typically girlie colors.

I think it works though. I am working on expanding my color palette which means using more blues, greens and purples. I like projects that incorporate many shades of the same color into one project. This card uses at least 7 shades of green--2 colors of cardstock, flower, green dots, colored rubon writing, Magnolia's dress color and the green edging;

This little guy looks like he's had enough coffee, but he still wants more, lol! His name is Frozey and he's from the Doodlefactory. First bunny you have seen with this much hair?


Oddly I don't care much for coffee myself. I will drink a diet dr. pepper or some ice tea to get a little caffeine, but I have never had the taste for coffee.

Just Buzzin' By

Buzz. Buzz.....it's my imitation of a bee, well Tilda's imitation anyways. Here's another perfectly flat card for my friends at the post office.

I think the actual name for this stamp is Dragonfly Tilda, but the striped shirt and cute hat just make me think of Bees instead. So I colored her up to be a little bee.

Be the Change you want to see in the World. I love that sentiment. What if we all tried to change to be what we want in the world. I wish I was more open, more friendly and more easygoing.

Whimsy Owl

This owl comes from Whimsy Stamps. Looks like he's had a long day, huh? This company has several adorable animal stamps. This is the first one I have ever owned, it comes mounted on cling foam on a plastic sheet with the image already on it. That's handy.

Frog Prince

This fun stamp comes from the Diane Duda collection of Sugar Nellie Rubber Stamps. She's keeping her frog prince close by. How often does something in life appear to be a frog, but I find out later it was really a prince?

I love the wonderful shimmery cardstock that comes from California paper. It has a wonderful shine to it that is lost in the photo. The cute top layer is actually supposed to be used as a journaling piece. I covered up the lines where the journaling would take place with the princess. I like the gold accenting on the top layer. It looks so rich with the shimmery background.
